This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 3rd day of December, 1923, in accordance with request made by himself - Mrs. [287].

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.

2. Now we find the condition as has been created in the intestinal tract, and especially in the stomach proper, where the disturbance has come to the hypogastric and pneumogastric nerve centers there. With this condition, the body should follow out closely that as was given for the body to do. [11/11/23 (?) No copy in files.] We will do well to keep the body-rest, under the reaction of the oils as is taken in the system as it has the advantage of a reaction that the production of this poison in the system does not affect the circulation of the blood forces to the head, or produce the palpitation of the diaphragm rather than all of those organs and portions thus affected.

3. Follow out those closely, as we have given. Be well that with this once each day small quantity of those properties as found in a mild Yellow Saffron Tea is taken in the system, to create the healing forces, as is hindered by this condition of poisons being created against lung force and tissue in the intestinal tract, diaphragm, and pressure on lungs, producing quick vibration of heart, and of diaphragm. Hence the quick contraction of the muscular forces about the central portion of the body, the correct flow of blood from head and the poor circulation as is caused through-out the system from this condition.

4. Follow those lines as given for the body, if the body would bring the best to itself, [287].

5. (Q) Is the olive oil that the body is now getting the pure olive oil? (A) This will do. Take that.

6. (Q) What caused the unconsciousness of this body at about eleven o’clock on November 23rd? (A) Taking into the system that which acted with the hypogastrics in creating more disturbance to assimilation in the system. Hence, flooded the chambers of those portions of the body that became in the poor physical and the reaction of this stimulation on the condition.

R3. 1/22/25 He obtained Ck. Physical 287-4 for tinnitus and pruritus.

R4. 3/21/26 See Ck. Physical 287-5 for a little trouble again with heart palpitation, etc.

R5. 11/20/29 He requested Ck. Physical 287-8, reporting on 287-7, and asking if the current condition of pain in throat and chest was a result of the white lead poison he had some 5-6 yrs. ago - [287-2?]. [See subsequent Ck. Physical Rdgs.]

R6. 2/16/33 EC’s letter to Mrs. [959] who had asked him if he had given rdgs. for lung trouble for people working in mines:

“Yes, we have had cases of lung trouble that have been produced from almost all sorts of causes. One of our Regional Representatives had a very serious trouble, produced several yrs. ago while working in a tunnel. He drank water from pipes and got lead (white lead) poisoning. The combined condition has been quite a hard one to cope with, but as he says - all the others that were with him are dead, and he has had nearly eight years of comparative ease; not a great deal of trouble except right at first, and a few times he has had setbacks from some unusual activity.”
