This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of April, 1931, in accordance with request made by those present.

Time of Reading 12:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time.

  1. GC: You will have before you the bodies and the enquiring minds of A. C. Preston, O. H. Snyder and Gray Salter, present in this room, seeking information regarding exact location of buried treasure on or near what is known as White Hill on Broad Bay, Princess Anne Co., Va. You will give such information that will aid these three individuals at this time in locating such treasure. You will also answer the questions which they will ask:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the bodies, the enquiring minds - A. C. Preston, O. H. Snyder, Gray Salter - present in this room; also those conditions which surround the territory known as White Hill, or White Horse Hill, Princess Anne County, Virginia.

  3. In seeking such information, location of same, much consideration should be given as respecting purposes, aims and ideals, as for the individuals.

  4. As we find, there are - and have been - treasures, or moneys, jewels, papers and such, that have been put in this vicinity. These - DIFFERENT caches of same - have covered various periods, and various experiences in the lives of individuals.

  5. In and about the vicinity, over the same grounds, we also find where there has recently - today - been some explorations. In the west portion and to the south, the place where we would first attempt to locate same, or this first cache - the greater quantity lies there, as we find. Where the tree, that has died - but where there are indications yet of it having been a large tree, under the extended branches of same - in ‘42, as we find - the first quantity put there. Later in ‘61 there was another near the same place. These were put by individuals seeking to escape from their individual surroundings. We would seek out his portion or side of hill, using those aids and helps as may make for the indications and for the definite location of same. Do that. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) Would it be advisable to use the electrical instrument for locating buried metals on this location? (A) That’s just as given. Use same for making specific locations, for while there will be seen in the operation of same a confusion when the specific spot is to be located, but in the uncovering will be found that the TWO is indicated - as well as this once having been used as an Indian burying ground - see? will make some difference. The indications and the depths, and those things as necessary, may be followed WHEN locations - and definite locations - have been made, as are indicated by the operating of the locater itself - see?

  7. (Q) Could this treasure be located satisfactorily from the gum tree which we marked this morning on the west side of White Hill? (A) Indicate this with the tree as spoken of, including gum - and around this whole area, see? using about ten to twelve feet southwest by south from this snag or portion of tree. This, then, will include the gum - see - to the west.

  8. (Q) How far is it from the water edge? (A) Well, we have many waters - and we have much change in same. Do some work to find anything, if you’re going to use it!

  9. (Q) What is the amount of the treasure? (A) This sufficient to use the real efforts for the locating of same! for it will be more than a million - see?

  10. (Q) Any further information that would be of help? (A) Let’s do something first - and then we may give more!

  11. (Q) Who is giving this information? (A) This from more than one, for there’s been more than one indicated as have had to do with not only those of the natives - that seek that some changes be made - but the GENERAL information for those seeking same. We are through for the present.
