This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4358].

GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
-
Now, we find there are improvements in the body since last we had same here. The general condition of the system is bettered. The eliminations are somewhat on the improve, and the ability of locomotion and the general condition of ataxia over the system is improved from that as we have had here before. The increased circulation, produced by the application of the Balsam of Sulphur, shows the effect as has been produced in emunctory centers. This last, we find, was not prepared so well as that before. Hence the condition as is produced, in the form of a rash, by its use; yet, were this still applied in the same way and manner as first given, we will find this will still assist.
-
That condition about the head, neck, shoulders and face, would be greatly improved by BINDING about the centers (after a thorough massage with olive oil, massaging this well into the skin between the shoulders, along the neck, side of jaw) a hot application of saturated solution of Epsom Salts, for the sooner this portion of the body is loosened sufficient that the mouth may be opened enough to take out these teeth that need to be removed, the less irritation will be produced in the system from this source.
-
The condition along the lower portion of the spine and the back will also be assisted by rubbing or massaging into same, first the olive oil, then this sponged off good with a weak solution of the Bicarbonate of Soda; then applying and rubbing into same that of a STRONG solution of Life Everlasting and Hydrastis - equal parts, see? making into a solution, see? and massage into this portion of the body; keeping up those medicinal properties as have been given for the eliminations, see? Take at least one more quantity, full quantity, of these medicinal properties, keeping up the other conditions; keeping the diet. More vegetables, and seasonable vegetables, and NO MEATS; for we will bring better conditions for this body, will these be kept up in the way as given.
-
We are through with this for the present.

R1. 5/26/26 EC’s letter to [4358]:
Dear Mrs. [4358]:
I am certainly sorry to know that you were unable to get the treatment as you had hoped to in the hospital in St. Louis. I am in hopes, however, that the suggestions as have been made, and as are made in the present reading, will prove of help and assistance to you. I think I would, as near as possible, adhere to the suggestions as are given here, so that you will be able to get the relief much quicker, by having some extra changes, as soon as you are able to.
I assure you, Mrs. [4358] of our interest in your condition, and of our desire to be of help if at all possible. I believe that if you will adhere to the suggestions, and have them carried out just as near as it is possible for you to do, that you are going to find relief, even greater than you have ever anticipated. I assure you we would like to hear from you from time to time. I am sorry that there has been such a delay in getting this reading, but I was called to see my mother, and a week away from my engagements made them pile up on me; but, we will try to attend to these just as fast as it is possible, and I assure you it is our desire to be of help. We are limited in the number of readings we can get in one day; consequently, it takes us some little time, once in a while, to catch up with the appointments. I am very much in hopes that this finds you feeling a whole lot better and that you will have a good report to make real soon.
Hoping to be of service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
R2. 6/21/26 [4358]‘s letter to EC:
…, Mo.
Mr. Edgar Cayce
Dear Sir:
Am writing to you in regards to my reading. I am having some trouble in getting my medicine. There 3 kinds of the Hydrastis, one put up on alcohol, in sealed 2 ounce bottles
2.50 per bottle, one in water put up in 2 oz. bottle a little cheaper, and another that is called colorless hydrastis 3 oz. for1.00 sold by the oz. One druggist will tell me I need one kind and another will say different. So am writing to you to settle it. The Life Everlasting I got was in the weed itself. How should this be prepared or should I get the liquid. I am feeling better than when I wrote before you made my reading. I am enclosing a request from my brother [3725] to have you make a reading for him. How soon can you make it. He will be here a couple of weeks and would appreciate having you make it in that time. He has been contemplating this for some time. Will give his name on separate paper. Please let me hear from you soon. I want to get my medicine as soon as possible. Respectively, [4358]R3. 6/25/26 EC’s letter to [4358]:
Dear Mrs. [4358]:
Replying to yours of the 21st, the Hydrastis that is needed in your case is the colorless or tincture of Hydrastis. The Everlasting - you can make this into the solution yourself
- one ounce to sixteen ounces of rain water, and reduce by simmering (not boiling) to eight ounces. This will give you the proper proportions.
I’m certainly glad that you are feeling better, and I’m certainly very much in hopes that you will continue to improve. I shall be very glad to try to be of some help to your brother [See 3725-1], but on account of the number of requests on hand, it will be impossible for us to get this within the two weeks time. I’m enclosing the appointment card for the date this can be made, and if he still desires that we do this, he can give whatever address he will be at that time. We certainly hope that we may be of some service.
Thank you for letting us hear from you - certainly hope that you continue to improve.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
R4. 8/13/26 Letter re her brother [3725]‘s appointment: “I am feeling pretty good. I am stronger and a good portion of the time I have natural action of my bowels which was a rare thing. But I have something wrong with my legs between knees and ankles on inside between legs just itches to the bone, can’t rub it enough and feels like the blood beats like a pulse in calf of leg and on inside. It is awful annoying, so bad I can hardly stand it sometimes. Aside from that I feel fine.”
R5. 8/18/26 EC’s letter to [4358]:
My dear Mrs. [4358]:
Replying to yours of the 13th, it was impossible for us to make the reading for Mr. [3725] and not have his correct address. I’m sorry that we were unable to get this at this time, for it necessitates our making the appointment many weeks later. Possibly he will know though just where he will be and he can change the date on the card and return at that time. Be sure and let us know though as soon as it is possible, for we are constantly having requests for readings and we’d like to be of service to as many people as possible. The date now will be Monday afternoon, the 27th day of September, same hours, two to four Central time. Be sure and let us know about this.
Now, as regarding yourself, I am certainly glad to know that you are feeling stronger and pretty good. I am sure if you will keep up the suggestions as were given you will overcome this condition, for I’m sure you realize that this annoyance is the blood forcing through these portions of your body in a way that it hasn’t done for a long, long, time, and this condition should gradually disappear. It won’t be a great while before you should have another reading, and see if there are any changes to be made in the treatment, and just how you are progressing.
With kindest personal regards,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
R6. 7/29/26 [4358]‘s letter to EC:
Mr. Cayce
Dear Sir,
In regard to my brother’s reading that is set for Sept. 27th, he will have the reading made - he was so disappointed in not getting it Aug. 16, but delay in my mail was the cause of not getting his address for that day. I will change the card and mail it later to be sure of his correct address.
Now a word for my self. I feel I am going in different ways. I have been visiting twice this month, made a 15 mile trip and back last Sunday. I hadn’t been on the road for 5 years. I sure enjoyed it very much - had no nervousness or soreness from the trip just a little burning from Sun and wind but not like I expected. I would rather keep up these last readings a little longer before making another. I think I am getting good results. Hope you will be successful in getting the reading this time.
The date was Sept. 27 between the hrs. 2 to 4 Central time. Wishing you much success in your work, I remain

R7. 9/18/26 Letter re brother [3725]‘s appointment: “I am still feeling pretty good myself.”
R8. 11/23/26 [4358]‘s letter to EC:
Dear sir
I will write you again - should have done it sooner - am feeling pretty well considering the cold weather. I have the worst trouble with my hands - they want to draw shut
- is there anything I can rub on them to take the soreness and stiffness out of them. If you think we had better have another reading I am ready. My jaws have limbered up some but I am a little afraid to have the bad teeth taken out now - afraid of taking cold. May not hurt me any. Am still taking medicine and using all you told me to except Balsam of Sulphur but was thinking of beginning it again, but thought I would write first.
I am sending a small donation at this time for the hospital fund - hope to be able to do more later. I received the copy of my brother’s reading [3725-1]. He received the original also. Says you told him better how he felt than he could tell himself. He went to a Dr. - the best he could find in Kansas City and she told him exactly as you told him. He was well pleased with the reading and thanks you many times. When he last wrote me said he was feeling lots better than he had for a long time. He is carrying out as you said only he could not get the saffron bark but the petals.
He received the booklet and card in regards to the hospital fund and I am forwarding it on to him.
Must close for this time,
I am respectively, Mrs. [4358], 5 miles North …, Missouri
P.S. I am well enough to be at work all time - at some fancy work or cutting quilt pieces which I am doing now. Wish you every success in your new hospital.
Thanking you for what you have done to relieve me of so much suffering, I wish for you a long life.
