This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of January, 1937, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [480], through Associate Membership of her husband in the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Detroit, Mich. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

2. As we find, conditions in general are developing very well. While there are the adjustments of the body - circulatory forces to the changes that naturally arise in the body in the present, the eliminations as carried on by the lymph circulation allow the throwing off of forces that make an acute condition in the form of the rash that has been indicated.

3. This does not arise so much from diet as from the circulation’s not receiving the impulses as nominally arise under other conditions in the body.

4. Hence it is a skin irritation, or a condition arising from the superficial circulation.

5. As we would find in the present, we would take each morning for seven to eight days, before the morning meal, a level teaspoonful of Eno Salts in water. Drink while effervescing. Take same for seven or eight days, then rest for seven or eight days, then take again - if there is still the disturbance.

6. Also we would find that the bathing or sponging off of the portions with a ten percent solution of any antiseptic would be very well. But as we find if the Eno Salts is taken, as indicated, the disturbance should be eliminated.

7. The rubbing with Camphorated Oil is also very well. This only when there is great irritation.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) Should the Camphorated Oil be used instead of the Olive Oil and Myrrh? (A) Rather than the Oil and Myrrh in the present. But take internally the Eno Salts, level teaspoonful mornings before any meal - each morning.

10. (Q) Any further advice for the body at this time? (A) Take those precautions as has been indicated regarding cold, congestion and the general activities. These we find for the present.

R1. 1/14/37 She phoned for 601-18 for her mother, and wrote reporting on husband’s 633-6 and her own 480-32: “The itch has practically gone and [633] is following all that has been outlined. We know that there is no place we get better advice and, more than that, to follow the advice is to get relief. We can only say ‘thanks’, and that must embody all we feel.

“Jim (expected baby) hasn’t been heard from yet, but we have quite visible evidence of his presence. I have no nausea and I’m eating and gaining. My skin has cleared somewhat but the haziness has not left. That is all that we wish for now. In the next rdg., which we will write for but which you can set a month from the previous one, I’d like to know whether I could venture 2 wks. in Fla. Mother and Daddy are thinking of driving and I could follow on the train.”

R2. 1/18/37 Mother [601]‘s ltr.: “[480] is coming along fine, beginning to feel more like herself, no nausea and eating much better. The rash has become much less irritating and the redness has disappeared. The camphorated oil helped much better than the olive oil and myrrh. I suppose the Eno Salts also had their effect. Anyway, she feels better which is most important and we are very grateful.”
