This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th St. & Ocean, Va. Beach, Va., this 8th day of January, 1932, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [543], on Active Membership of her father, Mr. [1212], in Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 417 - 22nd Street, 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [543] - this we have had before. We find that the more the body-consciousness in able to gain and hold that the consciousness of the body is being rid of those disorders, the more EFFECTIVE becomes that as is being administered for the correction of the disorder.

2. As has been outlined in various conditions as concerning this body, these conditions, this is an altered vibration being met as of old, Karma? - See 543-11] and the body- consciousness, body-mental, body-physical, should be persistent, be consistent, and those also about the body - in their treatment of, their approach to, their associations with, in the same mind; for, “Where two or three seek in My Name,” He has given, “there will I be also.” Is this consciousness to be awakened, then seek often - ALL - that would minister with the body in gaining that understanding, that the ministrations as given will bring about a more perfect accord in this material body, and it - the cure - will come to pass. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Should any change whatever be made regarding any part of the treatment? (A) Those treatments as are ready for ministration may be given in the manner as outlined, provided there is still kept that which must meet the whole condition.

4. (Q) Does that refer to that medicine which I hold in my hand? [Lafayette M. Hunter, M.D.] (A) Any, so they keep that which has been given, in the making of which BRINGS the change. [Passion flower fusion - as in 543-11?] This will only allay, or keep that as has been given - these work together, for it’s the same as being administered - or has been.

5. (Q) Would colonic irrigations be better than the osteopathic treatments at the present time? (A) Would be better that the drosses of the system be removed. Remember, as has been given, it is more essential that there be the eliminations effective than in MOST bodies. Would be better that at least once a month, or three times in two months, a high irrigation or colonic irrigation be made in preference to the manipulations as have been administered.

6. (Q) Any other advice for this body? (A) It isn’t so much advice, as counsel and cooperation the body needs! Do as we have given!

R2. 3/10/32 See A.R.E. prayer group rdg. 281-4, Par. 15-A about epileptics in general, Par. 18-A, 19-A, and 25-A about [543] in particular, advising that the prayer group designate one of their number to practice magnetic hand treatment on [543] to raise her vibrations, daily, with other members of group holding her in prayer during the period.

R3. 3/11/32 Mr. [1212]‘s ltr. advised he could not afford to let Miss [543] remain in Virginia Beach longer than April 1st: “From the reports from your sister and [543], we are at a loss to decide, which treatment has been better for [543], the treatment of Dr. James or Dr. Hunter, I am inclined to believe that Dr. James treatment was more helpful, I am writing to ask you to confer with your sister, and write me which you agree is best, of course this is confidential, and your reply, will be treated STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.

“Please let me hear from you by return mail, I will say further in regard to [543], we hope it will be only a short time, before we can let [543] be with your sister again, thanking you in advance for your prompt reply.”

R4. 3/14/32 EC wrote asking Mr. [1212]‘s permission to try the magnetic treatment for [543], as mentioned in 281-4, for a few weeks.

R5. 3/15/32 Mr. [1212]‘s wire: “We consent to treatment specified in your letter wishing for fine results.”

R6. 3/15/32 A.M. (11:30) The first magnetic treatment was given to Miss [543] by Miss [295] who had been chosen from the A.R.E. Prayer Group, at a meeting on Monday night, 3/14/32.

R8. 1/32 GD’s note: The following diet outline was worked out by Miss Annie Cayce for Miss [543] as a guide while Miss [543] was staying in the Cayce-Hesson Nursing Home:

BREAKFAST Baked apple Fresh berries of any kind Corn meal mush with Prune sauce honey and cream Whole wheat muffins with butter

Soaked figs Sliced oranges Corn meal mush with Rice muffins honey and cream Raisins Whole wheat muffins with butter

LUNCH

Vegetable soups Sliced tomatoes Sliced peaches String beans Fruit salad Pea soup Grated or mashed carrots Combination salad

EVENINGS

Combination salad Creamed turnips Spinach Asparagus Cauliflower Celery Vegetable soup Lettuce Buttered beets Sliced whole wheat bread, Whole wheat biscuit (preferably always toasted) Creamed carrots, etc.

At times a little broiled steak at dinner or at lunch and at times baked chicken, but not too much of it.

Orange juice and water may be taken between meals. No tea or coffee except at breakfast and eat lighter at dinner.
