This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of October, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [558].

Time of Reading 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Oklahoma.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer any questions which I might ask you regarding this body.

2. EC: Now, there are many changed conditions in the body from that as we had here before.

3. Now these are conditions as we find them that have or show the abnormality in physical forces of body at the present time.

4. There is in the blood supply that congestion that is in the mild form of the malarial condition at the present. This produced by congestion in the system preventing, through the lower portion of the hepatic circulation, that action of eliminations as are necessary for the best conditions of the body. This affects then, directly, that condition in the functioning of the kidney and of the lower bowel, especially, for the mesenteric system becomes involved, and the overtaxing of system to bring about the normal equilibrium from this congestion as produced brings these distresses to the body, see? making, then, the over-active forces in the kidneys attempting to create an equilibrium, see? bringing that temperature in the mesenteric system that absorbs, as it were, the secretions that cause the normal functioning and action of the ascending and traverse [transverse] colon. Hence the tendency for pains and depressions in this portion of the system, see? the congestion produced in the pelvic organs and, especially, in the vagina, where the congestion shows in the position of the womb proper, for this now, as we find, same causes irritation to the system, and should be treated locally with antiseptic packs that the correction may be made in position and to relieve the congestion as produced there, for this forming a condition bordering on that of congestional neuralgia, produces this condition in the system, see?

5. This will be done, then, by correcting the condition there by local application of those antiseptic packs for same, to hold same in place, see? The system also needs those as a tonic or stimulant, such as this:

Syrup of Sarsaparilla…2 ounces, Elixia Calisaya…2 ounces, Essence Dogfennel (Mayweed or Chamomile)…20 minims, Essence Yellow Dock Root…1/2 ounce, Essence Peruvian Bark (or may be added in another compound, that Sulphate of Quinine)…10 minims, Essence of Peppermint…3 minims, Tincture Capsici…1 minim.

Add, then, Simple Syrup sufficient to make 12 ounces. Shake solution well together each time before the dose is taken. The dose would be half a teaspoonful 3 times each day. Also keep the bowels open. While this will make the tendency towards same, see, but with certain foods or diet would tend to turn the other way, so using enemas - be sure that the bowels move thoroughly each day, even though necessary to take enemas for same, see?

6. Then, after this has been carried out (the doses of medicine taken, this quantity, see? these corrections locally made), take those treatments from that vibration of osteopathic forces that will correct the conditions in the lumbar, pelvis region, and stimulate the whole system to a normal condition. Necessary that the body have at least ten to thirteen such treatments of the GENERAL NATURE. We will find the body in a normal condition. Do that.

7. (Q) Did the capsules taken by this body do any harm to the womb? (A) Caused a congestion, caused the whole condition in the body, see, and its reaction from same.

8. (Q) Is this body in condition to bear children? (A) Not at present. Will be when these corrections have been made.

9. (Q) Would it injure the body’s health to take Quinine as the Doctor prescribed? (A) Better take that as has been given, carries the Quinine properties and those other conditions necessary for the correction of the system. The local conditions should be taken, for the condition in pelvis, in womb, see?

10. (Q) Is the present doctor attending the body reliable? (A) Depends upon what it’s for. [If] He won’t carry out these then get one that will!

11. (Q) Will you give the name of a doctor in Tulsa who would carry out these instructions? (A) That must be sought by the body desiring it, not from here. The osteopath [Moore?] may be able to carry out the whole, would the body prepare medicinal properties, or have same prepared - take them separate, see?

12. That is all the questions.

By accident I read your letter to [257] and found her trouble. I immediately wrote her and told [558] to get a Reading from you, which I knew that she had already. Then she told me about the Reading - the outcome was she did not understand it, and I found that the doctor gave her same thing that you did. After I explained the case to her she saw that your Reading was correct - and so it goes… [558] is very happy - she has a lovely husband and home…”

R3. 8/20/26 Mrs. [558]‘s letter in re husband’s Life Reading 1565-1:

”…I hope you have success with [1565]‘s Reading as you had with mine…”

R4. 2/28/27 Mother, [325]‘s letter:

”…Well, here am I in …, Okla., and the proud grandmother of a fine red-headed boy [1145]. He was born on February 15th, weighs 7 lbs. and is doing well. He resembles his father [1565] but has [558]‘s eyes. [558] is feeling very well now…”

R5. 1/15/30, 3/15/30 Her husband obtained Business readings 1565-2, and 1565-3.

I am to take another examination so would like to have this Reading as soon as you can give it to me. Please do not send a copy to brother [257] - this is a personal Reading.
