Date: 11/5/1924 Sex: F Age: 22 ReadingID: 3942
This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 5th day of November, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [558].
[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Dayton Time. …, Ky.
-
GC: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with special reference to the trouble with the ear, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. [No copy of earlier readings.]
-
Now we find we have many changes in the body from that as we had here before, with special reference to the condition in ear. This we find has been produced by condition existing in the throat and in the cervical region, produced by cold, congestion, and the conditions in the tonsil region. With the congestion, the ligaments and tissue that involve the auditory forces give the distress to the auditory system and the sensory vibrations as received through this portion.
-
The correction of these conditions must be through the adjustment of the vertebra in cervical region that causes the distress, and by the removal of the lesions formed along the Eustachian tube center and the ligaments about the inner ear, treated osteopathically through the roof of mouth, or through palate, and by the removal of those portions left in tonsil region that give the overflow of blood supply to that portion of body, without causing the eliminations properly, so the excess comes as dross through ear proper.
-
In the rest of the system, we find the body very good. The blood supply, however, is below the normal, and the vitality of the constitution is thereby weakened, yet with the proper care and attention the body would develop in the normal manner.
-
Well that the higher vibrations as reached through that in wedded life, be well for the body in its present conditions, and these conditions should be taken seriously, for this added condition in the body, with proper care from the condition of congestion, or cold, or over strain, would bring the better condition in the nerve system and in the general condition throughout the body.
-
Be well that these treatments for the throat and ear be given in the East. We would advise that the body go there for such treatments.
-
Do that.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 11/14/24 Mother [325]‘s letter: “[558] rec’d the rdg. So I sent her to doctor and he said all that you did about the ear but failed to mention about the piece of flesh left in throat. [558] drew his attention to it, so he looked again and found it. I am going to send rdg. to him and let him follow it. That part of rdg. was good, but we did want to look a little farther ahead, and know a little more about her future - I needn’t tell you every girl wants to know who she will marry, his looks, his wealth, his life good or bad, where he lives, will she marry young, what part of country he lives in. [558] has 2-3 beaus and can’t decide which one, and wants you to decide for her in rdg., so please do when you get a chance. You can get her [at home] any morning… Tell me if this doctor will benefit her, as I can’t send her east now. Is there any doctor in … [Okla.] that will do, as she wants to go there to be with her sister [459].”
R2. 11/26/24 EC’s letter to Mr. [257]: “I was very glad to have a letter from your mother and to give the rdg. for [558]. Your mother writes me that the information [in 558-1] was verified by the doctor who examined her; however, I believe that she’s in error in not sending [558] to N.Y. to be treated, as the rdg. suggested. Perhaps this may be impossible, but I believe, for her future health’s sake, you all should make some sort of an attempt to have this done right and proper.”
R3. 11/26/24 Miss [558] submitted questions: “Is it necessary that the flesh in throat be removed? Is doctor giving correct tr.? Is home tr. advised?”
R4. 12/10/24 Mother [325] verified appointment, submitting the name of young Mr. [1565] in …, Okla. to see if the rdg. okayed him for [558].
R5. 12/12/24 Miss [558]‘s letter: “I will be at home on Dec. 15th for my rdg. I am leaving on Wed. [12/17/24] to spend Xmas vacation with my sister, Mrs. [459] and Rabbi [4159].” [In Okla. where the man lives whom I asked about marrying.]
R6. 12/15/24 See 558-2.
Background
Background
B1. 10/29/24 “I would like for you to give me a rdg. on my physical self with special reference to the ear. Lately I have been having a great deal of trouble and the doctor doesn’t seem to help it. While giving this physical I should like you to go on to a general rdg. concerning myself and future. These few questions should be asked: Which place would you suggest for me to spend Xmas holidays… […Okla. with my sister [459] and family], or N.Y. [with brother [257]]? Should I think seriously of the man I am now going with? Your rdg. for sister [459] [see 459-1 Background] was so wonderful and came out just as you said, that I hope I will get just as successful results [as to home and marriage, etc.]. Her baby [son [1856]] is a real doll and she and Rabbi [4159] spent a most enjoyable summer with us.”
