This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of July, 1942, in accordance with request made by Miss Esther Wynne, Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., immediately following Prayer Group Rdg. 281-62 on Spiritual Healing.

Time of Reading 4:05 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern War Time.

1. GC: You will consider the aura charts as given through this channel, and answer the questions regarding same, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the information which has been indicated through this channel respecting aura charts.

3. As we have given, an aura chart is the attempt to interpret the material experiences of individuals in their journeys through the earth; indicating, pictorially, as to that place in the earth of the individual activity, and - upon either the right or the left - the sources from which the entity came into activity in the earthly or material consciousness. About same is symbolized, in the signs of the zodiac, as to that portion of body which was stressed through that particular period of activity.

4. By color certain activities are also symbolized, - for instance, black indicates the whole combination of all. For, to material interpretation, white is the absence of color, black is the combination of them all.

5. The dark blue indicates awakening; purple, healing; white, purity; gold, attaining. All of these and their varied shades indicate the activity; this applying to the stars as well as the sun or moon.

6. The sun indicates strength and life, while the moon indicates change - and in one direction indicating the singleness of that activity through an individual experience, - the variations being indicated by the variations in the color.

7. Star, - the white, purity; the five-pointed, the whole senses of man indicated as attained to activity - the colors showing the variation; the forms of six, seven or eight pointed indicating the attainments, - as do the seven stars in a figure indicate the attaining to the seven particular centers in the body.

8. As for the whole chart, - the interpretation is more up to the artist - as to its beauty.

9. The study of the meaning of Aries, Saggitarius, Pisces, Libra, or any or all of such phases, would indicate the activity of the individual. For, remember, it is body manifestation, - some the feet, some the head, some the thigh, some the groin, some the bowels, some the breast, - some one and some another, see? these indicating the ACTIVITY of the individual.

11. (Q) Please consider the drawing of the Temple Beautiful, which I hold in my hand, as interpreted by the artist from information given through this channel, and give such suggestions and corrections as may be necessary to help her to draw such when the aura chart calls for same. (A) This is very good. The figure, or the obelisk upon which the light is put, should be more in the shape of a six-sided figure than merely a spire. It is not the attempt, in the building of the Temple Beautiful, to indicate a spire but as a source of light through which that activity in the Temple aided the individuals as there was the activity or passivity through the periods of cleansing or purification of those necessary influences, of lack of influences, in the individual entity.

For, as has been indicated, the characteristics, or that attained by an individual, are indicated by the sign under which the entity enters an appearance. (This as a side note: Remember, those indicated in the charts that are accepted by most astrologers are some ten days behind. Thus we find some variations in the information indicated for individuals through these channels.)

12. (Q) Is the size of the paper, the quality and colors correct for the aura charts that she has painted? (A) Whether you make the paper 2” wide or 2’ wide, or 4’, - that is to be the choice of the artist!

13. (Q) In the aura chart [307-20] given March 15, 1942, for [307] a headdress as a band, on which V’s were depicted, for the Atlantean period of the entity, - what do the V’s mean? (A) Still means the same old thing as it has ever meant - VICTORY! There it meant the victory over self.

14. (Q) Are the aura charts the same as the plaques of the Egyptian period which [993] and [294] each saw in a vision of some years ago, or what is the connection? (A) No. One is a life seal. One was of the plaques made for the individuals to be indicated. As has been given through these channels, oft individuals are given life seals. These vary quite a bit from even the figures in an aura chart. And at times they conform. But one is made for that as a study by the individual of those things wherein it failed or developed, and are to be as lessons - and that is why it has been given. This may become a helpful influence to the individual; while a plaque is usually as the reminder of some individual fact or act to be attained or discarded, and it is indicated in the information given respecting such. On the other hand, the aura chart - to those who would study same (for little comes of itself) - is for the individual until it has fully attained. Who has attained?

Then, study same oft, - analyzing them as to the significance, as to that given as the warning. For as He gave, he that would be forewarned would not allow his house to be broken up. Whose house? What house?

Thy body, thy mind, thy soul!

15. (Q) How can the aura charts be made of the greater help in the present to the individual, either by study in groups or by lectures? (A) You’ve forgotten what we’ve just said! Read what has just been given!

R2. 8/26/41 GD’s notes of EC’s conscious reading of auras for those present at his Tuesday Night Bible Class - page 1: Auras read by Edgar Cayce at Tuesday Night Bible Group Meeting, August 26, 1941:

[2533]: You have more violet in your aura than anyone in the room. Violet always indicates the seeker, the searcher for something. You have more of than gray, blue, opal, white or pink. A great deal of pink or coral in an individual’s aura indicates material-mindedness.

MAE ROBERTS: You have a great deal of the shades of blue, some violet, and a little pink. So you are very definite in what you think, and in the things you do. You know where you are going, or think you know.

[641]: You have a great deal of blue, a great deal of gray - because you easily become discouraged at times. You go very much up and down; you will fly off the handle or fly on the handle just about as easy.

[1709]: You have a great deal of rose, and it becomes a very pretty aura. You judge most things by the material results that you get. I don’t mean that you haven’t any spirituality, but there is more of rose in your aura than the other colors. It changes, as rose would - or in coral - the changes sort of dash in and out. You smear it over, and then you streak it white and smear it over; then there’s a streak of blue and you smear it over. That’s the way you work.

[369]: You have a great deal of violet, pink and white. The white means purity, always. Yours runs up and down, so you are rather temperamental. Everything to you must be very definite, must be very sure, with a basis that is sound.

[1012]: You have some blue and some gray; quite a bit of purple, but your purple goes in great rolls. You have periods in which you go after a thing and you know where you are going, and then you’ll have periods when you doubt whether you are going anywhere or not. Then there will come gray shadows, with rose.

[1467]: Your aura is very, very definite; it has changed since I’ve known you, as much as anyone I’ve ever seen. Your aura is a sort of crown, but in the form of long spikes that go up - and that are of varied colors. Sometimes the colors run from one shade to another; they might become very red and then very pink all along. Because you go up to the heights and then down to the depths. But you have a very good aura.

[2454]: Yours is a very beautiful aura. You could almost take it off and pin it on you and wear it, because it becomes almost like a rose that would open out and bloom, all around your head - not in rose colors, however. There is a great deal of opal, purple, and shaded along the edges with white - which makes a gold with the white and with the rose. Things are very definite with you at times, and then very uncertain at times. Then you are very sure, and you go places when you are sure.

[1223]: Your aura changes very much at times, because it goes up and down. You have a great deal of blue, but a shade of blue in the lighter shades - which would indicate your sureness as you go along with your study and your development. It opens to activities that indicate blue, white and gold. As long as you are sure you can go. When you are not sure, you stop.

[1222]: Your aura has changed a great deal in the last year or so. You have a great deal more of those colors that indicate sureness in self; orange with gold. You don’t smear it, but sometimes you streak it. You get glimpses, and then you lose or miss - but your aura shows more of the seeking - with purple that usually indicates one that is seeking. Your purple goes more in clouds or rolls. There is very little of blue, which has been in your aura heretofore.

[2448]: Your aura might be called a crown entirely, with gold, purple and pink; because things must measure up materially as well as spiritually and mentally. It is very beautiful. Gold, of course, means that you have attained to some understandings in which you are very sure.

[2390]: You have a very fluffy aura, and it clouds over. There are pink and gold and purple and blue all rolled around together, and they roll over and over and over. You turn over things very systematically at times, and then you flash them through very quickly at times. You arrive very suddenly at decisions at times, then at other periods you take a long time to make up your mind. Consequently, it makes that rolling aura.

[845]: You have a light more than you have an aura. There is a light that stays about you now, which may become a part of your aura or it may be a thing that you are attaining to. But there’s more of a white light that stays about you as an aura. Not many people have a white light, because when most people attain to a white light they are getting ready to do something in the way of individual accomplishment; that is, it represents that surety in which an individual has put a hope - and such an environ is created about the individual. It is not a ball of light, but more a shaft of light - that with your dark hair appears to be almost white.

[2301]: Yours is not bad! It is not unlike [2533]‘s except you have a great deal of blue with your purple. Yours is not in as long spikes as [2533]‘s. Consequently, in making your decisions you often make snap judgments - that is, according to your aura that would be indicated.

[404]: The last time I read your aura there were a lot of shadows about it. Now it is entirely different. I would see from your aura that you have some very unusual news coming to you. This is indicated by the way in which your aura circles about the head - a circle and one above it, and one above it; more like we usually picture a halo - a streak of gold, as that especially about a picture of the Master. There is gold and white, which would indicate good news.

[288]: This evening it has a great deal of coral, or opal coral, or a lustre from it - which is very much in the form of a rolling about it; gray, white, pink, violet, all rolled into one - as if looking at a fire opal - as of a burst of enthusiasm, or burst of purpose, or individuality that would be indicated.

[2175]: Yours changes almost according to your moods. So you know about how many colors it would take. It effervesces; then you almost rub it out at times, in streaks; indicating those ideals that are your determining factors from sober thinking, and never snap judgments. When you really act on a thing you give sober judgment and thought to it. You make decisions by second thought. You flare into a thing and then you think it over. It’s a mighty good thing to do, especially since there is not so much red in your aura. You don’t act on things when you are mad, which is about as nice a thing as can be said about anybody. You may do something when you are mad, but you don’t really mean it.

[1523]: You have a very unusual sort of aura at present. There is a great deal of gray and blue and gold. Yours is mighty high sometimes and down mighty low at other times. It is very much like a crown, but a crown with spikes - a circular crown with spikes. Violet, opal, gray, and tipped off with gold. So at times you make snap judgments, at other times you give due consideration, at other times you don’t give a cuss! This is indicated by the difference in the shading of the spikes; there are two shades of red, two shades of gray, two shades of blue - in those variations.

[2378]: You have a very good aura. Most of yours is blue, with not white but a gray light. You are sometimes almost sure of yourself and then not sure at all. It doesn’t take the shape of long points, or just a cloud, but more as a fold

• which would be like a turban about your face and shoulders.

[1226]: You have a very unusual aura. Ofttimes you smear it. There’s white and gray and gold and purple. Then you smear it again. Then it may be white, purple, gold, and you smear it again. It’s that sort, which would go with the assurance - and then you wonder - then you know, and then know you don’t know.

[538]: Your aura has changed. It is a very nice one tonight. There is very little of pink in the aura, though most people who are material-minded have a great deal of pink. Not that you are material-minded, but you just want to be sure - and you will argue the question anyway. This is indicated in your aura, that is very much like a crown in which there are all of the facets set above it that would be changed into the various colors of opal, blue and gold, and like that. Jewels in auras indicate definite purposes to which individuals have attained. Not very many people have them. They indicate a step in the development.

The aura chart is taken from the Book of Life of the individual. It is a symbol of life and not just a picture nor a group of pictures. Yet pictures and symbols are used because they convey more than words. They indicate the manner in which a particular phase of the experience was manifested and various stages of development in sojourns in the earth.

They not only recall experiences, but relieve stress - show individuals how they may draw upon past experiences. They not only show the beautiful in life, but the sordid, the gladness in suffering; the successes, the failures, the strength, the hopes. But most of all the AURA CHART GIVES THE ATTAINMENTS THAT MAY BE REACHED AND HOW WE MAY REALIZE OUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE UNIVERSE.

The signs on the right of the Aura Charts usually indicate that which or in which the entity enters; that with the hope of the activity is directed. The sign upon the left indicates the attainments, if any. The signs around the planets show the manner of activity.

These symbols - from astrological influences - do not surpass the will but are only used to indicate developments made and aspirations that may be attained for the individual.

Aura Charts are based on reincarnation, and are meaningless to those who do not believe in it.

STARS - Stars, white and gold, signify great unfoldment. A circle surrounded by stars indicate that life forces give life, purpose, and hope to be attained. Stars 22 in number signify infinity or activities for good without number. Star points and color represent activity. HIS STAR - in white and blue with lights leads the Way. 5 Stars - these have been set as ideals; as to five, this indicates changes, or subject to change. 8-pointed Star indicates those bearing fruit in the activity of the individual.

PYRAMIDS - Pyramid - man looking toward light (God). Pyramid inverted indicates spirit entering into matter. Pyramid, the temple of Dedication. Pyramid, the place, as in Egypt (Revelation). Sphinx, - indicate wisdom - mystery.

VENUS - Love Venus with Sagittarius about Venus signifies a period of unfoldment and activity. Venus in gold and blue with Libra around same, indicates love in the balance throughout the activity attained. Venus in green and gold with Mercury in green and gold indicates the manner of attainment through mind and love.

URANUS Uranus, in blue and pink, with Pisces around - Extremes. Uranus, when in many colors indicates moods. Uranus in white and red indicates eccentricities and extremes.

MARS Mars in coral and gold, with Sagittarius indicates accomplishment - anger with many in the beginning.

SATURN* SATURN - Change; color, purple. Rings of Saturn, in coral, indicates spirit entering into matter - Change - It contrasts with Earth, or Atlantis (being red), signifying materiality or sex life in the Earth.

COLOR Red - anger. Four phases of the Moon in color - pleasures of the world ever present. Coral - with a great deal of color - indicates selfishness or a lack of self-expression.

SATURN Mercury - wisdom. Mercury, in blue and gold, with symbol of Aries about it,

indicates knowledge, wisdom, and the vehemence or sargacity with which there was activity.

JUPITER Universal purpose.

CROSSES The Cross leads the Way. Slender Cross, in white, with stars, indicates attainment. Three crosses, indicate, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The mental, physical and spiritual.

NUMBERS 22 stones - indicates fulfilling of purpose in the experience. 12 sticks in the fire indicate the 12 centers of the body to be purified. 7 pillars of the Temple, indicate the 7 stages of unfoldment. 6 camels - activities. 22 stars show showers of activities.

MOON - changes Moons facing the central figure indicate fear, if moon is gray, green or pink. Moon - material satisfaction. 4 phases of the moon, very colorful, indicates the pleasures of the world ever present.

OTHER SYMBOLS Parasol - gaiety, laxity. Axe - the Way. Staff - Being lead. The Cross and the Crook - the Way.

Cornucopias - a pouring out into the lives of others. Signs, seasons, time - show application of activity. Horses, cattle, land, houses, altogether - indicate luxury. Reeds - productive EL - God The tadpole - indicates the beginning. Fire - purging V - Victory Sun - Manner (.) - Infinity [circle with dot in center] (+) - Earth [circle cut into fours] Scarab (gold) - Attainment Torch - Giving out. Visor - Half open, denotes might and power Bird of Paradise - acquirements. Water, in the Sea of Galilee. Sea green.
