GC: You will have before you the conversation between [779] and Mr. [4499] of the … Marble & Granite Works, at …, Alabama. This occurred on the morning of Sept. 19, 1925, about eleven o’clock. You will take into consideration the responsibility, the obligations and circumstances that surround [779] and his family, and you will answer the questions regarding same, as I ask them of you.
-
EC: Yes, we have same here. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What would be the best plan to regain the business in the lost territory? (A) To present the abilities of the … Marble & Granite Works to meet the needs of those desiring the commodity, and present same in a personal manner, for with the personality of the individual, and the abilities of the Works to furnish that needed, there will come again the better and the greater work, see? for this should be constantly on the increase rather than the decrease, and a personal presentation, as may be sought, as may be found, by those records as are kept of such conditions where such become necessary, see? Follow those. Present those. Accepting, then, the proposition as is presented, rather in view of the salesman for the Works, with the fill-in from time to time of the work as Overseer and Special Workman, see? for with this incentive of the promotions as will come from those points as given, this should work to the higher and better advantage than confining self to the partnership agreement, until such has been worked to the point where this would be better than moving or change of condition coming for body, see? for as given, the greater success financially, mentally, for self and family, would be farther East, nearer larger bodies of water.

We are through for the present.
