This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 5th day of September, 1923, in accordance with request made by the self - [779].

[Edgar Cayce; L. B. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. [See 779-3, Par. R1.]]

Time of Reading 5:30 P. M. Selma, Alabama.

  1. EC: Now we find the conditions in this body are different from that when we had it before. There are some conditions in the body not as good. There are others that are better.

  2. In the physical forces we find there are strains produced more from the mental attitude towards the physical than from the physical action of the body, though the physical conditions are produced within the body. See?

  3. Now with the conditions we find as these. In the blood supply the body is very good. In the nerve forces the strain to physical and from the mental action brings the physical condition in the body, such as we have about the centers, or third and fourth cervical, first and second dorsal - see? contraction there producing the physical pains to the body, see? This being from the physical and mental forces, active within the body, produces on the nerve of the sensorial system such strains as to bring in center forces of the lesions. Such again we have at ninth dorsal or about the solar plexus center. This, then, produces reflex, and we have the conditions through the pneumogastric center and also through the pancrean regions. This gives the rise to the dull achey feeling pains in the head, in the arms: legs and feet heavy at times, body worried. See? [See 779-3, Par. 7, R6.] This is re-action from the … [?] center.

  4. Exercise, such as we have given heretofore, is good for this body. Vibration - This will be found in this exercise, and by change for the mental attitude towards self first, then others. Do that.

  5. Drink plenty of water. Take some pacific [calming] exercise, just as we have given before, the arms and portion of the body across the diaphragm center, the solar plexus center and osteopath or chiropractic forces. Do these.

  6. Some of the exercises we have out-lined before. Start stooping, body brace exercise. One better exercise would be that with the body lying prone, hold the arms above head, you see, and twist and turn the body downwards, swinging the feet from one side to the other across the bed. See?

  7. Get the mind right to think and act that way. [GD’s note: Later I learned that Mr. [779] was at the time worried about marital difficulties, a period of distrusting his wife, [780]. EC helped them patch up their differences. [See 779-3, Par. R6.]
