This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 5th and 22nd day [See 900-194, Par. B1] of February, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [900].
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading [See below.] New York City. [1st Reading, February 5, 1926 - 11:00 A.M.]
-
GC: You will have before you the data written by [900], which I will read to you. Should there be a mispresentation of a truth, you will correct same, breaking in wherever same is mispresented.
-
(Q) (GC: Reads.) (A) (Page 1 to 13) No corrections.
[2nd Reading, February 5, 1926 - 2:45 P.M.]
- (Q) (GC: Repeating suggestion - reads pages 13 to 28.) (A) (on Page 20) Merit instead of happen.
[3rd Reading, February 22, 1926 - 10:45 A.M.]
-
(Q) (GC: Suggestion repeated) (A) Yes, we have the data as written here. That as has been presented is the explanation of those truths as have been presented, and is the foundation of many that are to be presented from time to time. Not that many of these presented will not be changed in the manner of how one may gain the concept in their individual life for the realization of that presented, but a clear, concise and proper manner for presentation, with only that change as given, where it is presented as happen when should be given as merited, which to the concise mind and analytical mind must present a vast difference; while to the untutored or unlearned would mean near the same condition in some phases, yet as seen, when fully analyzed, must be MERITED. Ready for reading.
-
(Q) (GC: Reads) (A) (Page 28 to 38) No corrections.
[4th Reading, February 22, 1926 - 2:50 P.M.]
-
(Q) (GC: Suggestion repeated - reads Page 38 to 49.) (A) (Page 48) Rooted.
-
(Q) (After finishing reading) That is all the manuscript. Any further corrections? (A) No further corrections.
-
(Q) Under what name should this manuscript be published - as it is headed at present? (A) In book form, yes. In magazine, this would be changed. As to the correction and editing of same, this would of necessity be done for publication.
As to the truths and the manner as are set forth, we find this will be taken in any way or manner. As to whom to present same for publication, this may be presented through magazine article on same, or may be presented to editors for books, as is seen through Dodd, Mead - McMillan, or Revell [Fleming H. Revell Co.]. Any of these, as we see, would publish such a book in complete form. As has been given, many magazines are seeking articles of such a nature. This, as we see, would be acceptable to Atlantic Monthly, Woman’s Home Companion, or to Brooklyn Eagle. Any of these would in a manner publish; not as is set exactly, yet expurged in some places. This must be taken, then, as a whole, and as we see, published in a manner that will become understandable to many.
- We are through, then, for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. GD’s note: See subsequent dream interpretation rdgs., etc. His manuscript evidently was returned to him with the Reading, since we do not have the original on file. It [or another version of it in booklet form] was eventually printed [by him] under the title HEAVEN ON EARTH - See Source File Key #900 re 900-340.

B1. JT’s note: 900-194 was actually four separate readings given on two different dates consolidated into one by Gladys because Mr. [900] wanted the information provided for him in one document. See Source Key File #900 for a copy of HEAVEN ON EARTH re 900-340.
B2. See 900-59, 900-70, 900-88, 900-100 and previous “subject matter” rdgs. based on his study of the [3744] series. See especially 900-56, 900-57 and 900-58 correcting his manuscript.
B3. 2/2/26 “I am mailing you the first half of my work entitled ‘Spirit Action’, this article of which being the first and called ‘Reincarnation.’ Is it ready to be submitted - ask plenty of questions - you know.”
