1. EC: Yes, we have the entity and those relations with the universe and universal forces, that are latent and exhibited in the personalities of the present entity, [2110].

2. In entering, we find the entity astrologically, and the entity materially, mentally, spiritually, quite an altered experience from that as would be given by those adhering to those inclinations from the purely astrological influence. While those tendencies as to the petite niceties, that are influences in June births, are apparent, those mental forces of the body - that influence the soul and entity’s development - are much different from those things that would be termed influences or astrological experiences of the entity, from the purely astrological standpoint.

3. Yet those influences are innate that are manifested from the sojourn of the entity in its experience through the astrological planes; that is, the sojourns of the entity in the interim of earth’s experience make for much that influences impulse of the entity, especially during those periods when the physical consciousness is laid aside. The experiences in this particular phase, when studied or meditated upon by the present entity, will be noteworthy, in that many decisions, many impulses that have arisen in the present experiences of the entity, have been reached or concluded upon in or during the periods of the activity of sleep reached or concluded upon the physical body. As has been oft the expression of the entity, “Sleep on that, and then I will give my decision.”

4. Also there have been influences in the entity’s experiences in the earth that make for those things that have become a portion of the mental and material experiences in the present, from influence of earth’s sojourn.

5. This entity, then, and its experiences - both as to the sojourns in the interims and the experiences in the earth in the material things - will make for the entity a study that will be worth while in the entity’s present experience, as well as ensamples in the minds of those who would study the true atmosphere of the psychic forces of an entity, or through psychological influence the basis of analyses of any active force in an entity’s experience. With such there may be found much that would enjoin self, as well as all, that there be more dependence, faith, hope, confidence, real consciousness of the divine influences that are manifest through the experience, and sojourn of the Christ Consciousness in the earth, and His redeeming love to earth’s sojourners.

6. As to the sojourn then of the entity in other spheres, that influence in the present, these - as will be seen - have changed in their influences, just as sojourn or an earthly body in one environ partakes of that environ until there is seen much in the manner of expression that bespeaks the sojourn in that particular clime or environ; as to the manner of movement of body, in the choosing of the vocabulary in expressing a material, a mental, a spiritual idea.

7. So, in the sojourn of the entity in Venus there has come those forces in the manifestations of love, hope, peace, harmony, as sought in expressions of that that makes for the associations of souls in whatever sphere or environ is found for the experience of such contacts. Not that there are never likes or dislikes, or expressions of much love, of friendship, of paternal love, and the like, that vary in the experience of the entity; for with the influences also of the entity in Mercury, with its mental forbearance - as well as mental expansion, there is that ability of the entity to reason and oft give rise to the expressions that some thought, some time, and oft sleep, must pass before decisions are to be made that must influence all; yet that all-inclusive love, even as manifest by Him who took upon Himself the burdens of the world that those that were under the shadow of that brought by the experience of the Son of man might in the Son of God find healing, hope, comfort, cheer, even in the dark trials, the temptations, or the besetting of those that would make life and its experiences as hardships to others.

8. The entity, then, is oft governed by those experiences where oft has it been said, while the tempering of the lamb to the wind [“God TEMPERS the wind,” said Maria, “to the shorn lamb.” STERNE, Sentimental Journey (Maria). [Bartlett’s Quotes]] is as the balm to many who have come to know the real heart of the entity, others have at times taken advantage of these influences in the experience of the entity; yet these advantages, even, have ever been tempered by that which is innate in the entity’s experience, “Father, be patient with them, they know not how they burden me even now.”

9. Those experiences also in Jupiter have brought, and do bring in the present, the larger vision in mental, in material, in spiritual influences. As these recedings and approachings brought in the present experience those periods when the shadows grew deep about the entity - and other periods when the visions as from the mountain heights have been the experience; yet ALWAYS the same - for that makes for that expression oft to the inner self, “Though He slay me yet do I trust Him. He alone has the words of life. To whom else may I go?”

10. As to the influences in the earth’s sojourn, combined with those in the interim - the turning of the ear to the cries oft has brought in the physical much that is at times apparently lost in MATERIAL things; yet the spiritual harmonies, the spiritual music of the spheres, is rather that upon which the entity bases its hope, its pleasure, its desires.

11. From these also there have been made the abilities as the companion, whether in the home, the mother, the friend, or the wife. These make for those abilities to be TRUE to that in which self in the present has pinned its faith, and the entity has drawn near to the Door that will not so long be opened again.

12. As to the appearances in the earth, and the influences upon the present experience of the entity:

13. In the one before this in that land now known as the French, and during those periods when there were the turmoils from the sojourns in the land of that one from the near shore, when there were the attempts to many to aid in the land for the return of this ruler to his place in the material affairs of the earth. The entity was then among those who aided in the counseling to that leader, among those in the spiritual influences that were at times listened to and at others cast aside for rather the little pleasures of the present. The entity experienced hardships and disappointments through the experience, yet gained in the influence and through the experience, - in the name then Curei. In the present there is seen rather those abilities to adjust self, whether to the ups and downs or the ins and outs, so as to coordinate self’s surroundings to the needs of the environs; yet aware - more often than accredited with - of that which is passing through the minds and experiences of the associates, whether those that are close or those afar.

14. In the one before this we find during that period when the dissemination of the truths were among those peoples of the Grecian period and land, when that minister from Tarsus entered into the land of the Lystrians. In the city of Macedonia did the entity then reside, and - coming under the influences of that experience - gained and lost, and gained, through the experience; for the entity was among those that heard readily, and when the hardships and physical persecutions arose the entity faltered - for the pain to the body-mind, the pain to the physical associations, brought fear that was not easily overcome; yet when the final tests came, through the persecutions, there arose those that aided in strengthening the entity, through the associations from those peoples that had once dwelt in the Arabian land, and the entity gained - in the name Lydiaus. In the present there is seen from that experience the desire that there be burned from the material forces all that would make afraid. This brings much of the hardships in the associations, yet in Him is there light, life, and immortality, and in Him may the entity in the present find that sustaining force and power - even as was gained through that experience, that there may come the joy of service in Him that passeth all understanding, yet makes for the joy and beauty of the life in such a way and manner that all who come may read the blessed feelings and experiences of the entity, even in the present.

15. In the one before this we find in that land now known as the Egyptian, and during that period when there were the turmoils from the uprising from the banishing of the priest. The entity was then among those of the household of the leader, and a sister to Arart in this experience, gaining through those associations; for the entity burned out much that hindered in the Temple Beautiful, and aided in setting those chosen ones in the right way and manner. In the name Asmiis. The entity gained through the experience, losing only in the first portion, and the entity - as the princess of those lands that were so blessed by the banishing of the priest - came into power through the return, and being rejuvenated with that priest in the upbuilding of the land there in that place and in the close surrounding lands. In the present there has remained ever that as gained by the entity in the early experiences; that there is faltering oft in man, there is faltering oft in woman, yet in Him is that cleansing power, as was in that experience found by the burning - through those experiences of the flesh, by the consecration of the abilities to the higher forces, that partook of the creative energies in manifesting in that experience.

16. In the present the abilities, then, lie in setting - by example and by precept - that which will become the lining and the light to many, even as in that experience as Asmiis these were brought to many that faltered - in both material and mental, and the misconception of the spiritual attributes. The entity in the present may bring the joy and peace to many, even by the laying on of hands - and seeking in prayer the Throne of grace, that is sufficient to all who will unburden theirselves; for the gods to the entity are the consuming forces that purge even to the dividing of the joints and marrow of a physical being! HE is able to save. Keep in the way that leads in life, light, immortality through Him, and ever those who come under the vision of self, the associations of self, will be pointed again and again to that Cross that was raised by Him in that experience, through the associations of the entity with Him in the Egyptian period, and who carried it forward through that experience when the burdens of the world were put under His feet; for He sits at the right hand to judge the world, and He would not have any perish but all to know, to understand, the knowledge and the peace that comes with the naming of the Name that is above EVERY name! Keep patient. Keep sweet. The BEAUTIES of the Lord are upon thee. He will not leave thy hands empty, nor will He allow thine prayers to go unanswered!

R1. 9/7/32 (Wednesday) Mrs. [2110]‘s ltr. to EC:

My dear Mr. Cayce:

I received my Life Reading on Saturday and I wish to express my very sincere thanks and appreciation to you, who have made it possible for me to become cognizant of this Truth, for I do believe it to be Truth - As I would understand your work, - you are able to read the Akashic Records and of course I know that the Reader must be in close touch with the Universal or Holy Spirit - Am I right about this?

The reading made me feel very humble. There were many things that make me believe that it is true. The statement that in the last re-incarnation I had been French - I used to be very impulsive and have the tendency to use my hands in conversation, so that it has often been a joke and have often been asked if my forebears [forbearers] were not French people. You see they were not. They were German. My innate emotions and tendency are very akin to what was given. Down deep in me there always seems to be a great sadness and yet I can rise to meet every situation. What I consider very important for me and every one of God’s children to do - is to be so able to contact the power of Love and Joy - that all this seeming darkness of illness, LACK of EVERY description be instantly transported into the Kingdom of Heaven. Of course you understand what I mean by that. Not that we can willfully keep on guessing the Law, but we must learn to find that Heaven in which the Father dwells of whom Jesus opens to so intimately. I do not believe that it is necessary, for man kind to go thru such great tribulations. We know there is only one short cut - to understand and apply the Heavenly Law and I pray for the Wisdom and Power of that great Technique. You surely, Dear Mr. Cayce are doing a splendid work for Him and this family prays that you may be strengthened and blessed with more of your wonderful Spiritual discernment every day. We have been praying for your physical and spiritual welfare, that God may see fit to do this work in an ever increasing measure thru you.

[2155] has been quite ill again the last 10 days or two weeks, one of the reasons I have not acknowledged receipt sooner. The tendency was quite severe - many convulsions and the very painful cramps. Most of his days he has only been able to be up for a short while - and he has been much more ill-natured than for some time. I keep … [sentence missing] of being sweet and patient, something I guess we all forget when we are in actual physical pain.

I do not think Doctor [539] has been feeling so good again. We all know that a great adjustment is taking place in the world today - we see it all around us, on every hand. If we can only remain true to our visions of Light and keep sweet and patient, I feel that every thing dark would be so quickly dissipated. Well, it will come, for we have that promise from our Lord & Master Jesus Christ.

My reading closed with the admonition, “Keep patient, keep sweet”, and I am consciously determined to heed such loving advise.

The Doctor [539] is waiting anxiously to hear from you and I hope it will be possible for you to find, the time to let us hear from you again at your convenience.

My dear Mrs. [2110]

Your letter regarding the life reading has just been received. I don’t know how to say anything in response to it. I was not brought up nor trained, neither have I had much reason to believe in the theory of re-incarnation. My first intimation of such a thing came through the readings. Even yet I have never heard anyone propound their theories, nor have I read any books on the subject. From general association I know there is a theory much after the fashion of the Theosophists, which varies a great deal in different parts of the country. In India I am told that it runs more to transmigration, while in Persia and Egypt it is more the re-incarnation individually. Doctor asked me if I could give him a theory of just how it works. I wrote to him this morning, but didn’t mention anything about it - thought I could possibly include in this letter what our ideas have been from the information we have received. There is a theory also, I understand, that everything moves in such and such a cycle, re-occuring at such and such periods from the astrological aspects, etc., that ever so often we return again whether or no. This has not been the case, according to our information. What we build in the material life here, in relationship to the divine law of the universe, is met. Not that the saving grace of our Master is of less effect, but more - for He showed us the way. As to sex, we have had quite a few changes - but it doesn’t seem to run in any regular order, any more than that there are given periods when individuals return. A greater period may be spent in our universe, or our own planetary influences - that is, our own sun’s solar system. We may spend a greater time on Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, or such, and then return to earth; or we may have been so bad as to have been cast entirely into Saturn for remolding. In that case, if our sojourn on the earth has been of such nature that we desire to return at once for the environs that have been created for our development, we may return very suddenly. I wish I could talk with you both in person about this. Personally, as my son, my secretary, my wife, and all here express it, the life readings seem too true; we know too much, for we are today what we are because of what we were many thousands of years ago.

Dear Friends: Thanks for the Christmas Greetings. Want you to know that after reading: “There Is A River” (which held the attention from beginning to ending) that I can only say

• it is of such as your family - Christ said “Ye are the salt of the Earth” and one asks oneself the eternal question of “why?” do such trials and vicissitudes confront such earnest and beautiful souls as you dear people have proven yourselves to be thru every test? With fortitude & patience and grace you have all met every trial and set-back, still facing the Light with your Faith strong and undaunted.

Oh may God grant you to see in the flesh, the fulfillment of your every earnest desire in the recognition of the Christ Power which has worked thru you, by the whole world of mankind. Then we will have that Peace for which we all so earnestly long and pray -
