This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th Street and Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of November, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [5610].

Time of Reading 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) Am I pregnant? (A) As has been indicated, this is.

3. (Q) Has this affected the progress and cure of my ears? (A) This, as we find, through the many changes as such brings in a body, while it does not HINDER - but rather ACCENTUATES all activities of the sensory organism, and while the conditions are under such a strain, and will be for the first two or three months of pregnancy, the condition will APPEAR to be ACCENTUATED - see? that is, not so much that the body does NOT hear, but more conscious of the changes as are being wrought in the system; and after this period, or when there begins the first MOVEMENTS, then we will find that these will gradually clear up; for the Eustachian tubes are clear, but with the many changes as are being wrought, ALL PORTIONS of the system become rather super-sensitive to the changes, or to the ordeals, or to those activities as are taking place; and we will find, by the time of the third month, that these should be corrected, and that a near NORMAL condition of the hearing and the activities of the sensory system will ensue; for we will find that with the body being so near to normal in OTHER ways, will the proper precautions be taken - and sufficient of the manipulations occasionally given - the whole body will develop, as will the progeny develop, nominally and normally, and this will bring a blessing and a satisfaction to the body, and to those concerned.

4. (Q) How long before my ear condition will be entirely cured? (A) That’s as has just been given.

R1. 12/1/31 Husband [5609]‘s letter: ”…The readings were received and read with much encouragement. Both my wife and self sincerely hope that your predictions will come true.

“There is one statement in connection with my wife’s reading that is not entirely clear to us, and we would thank you to kindly elaborate upon the subject matter. You state ‘and sufficient of the manipulations occasionally given’. Does this mean that it will be necessary for Mrs. [5610] to receive further treatments? If so, by whom and in what form?

“Another feature is whether it is advisable to have administered these treatments while Mrs. [5610] is in a pregnant condition.

“This seems to be the one obstacle surrounding the whole situation and we hope you will be able to enlighten us…”

R2. 12/5/31 EC’s letter: ”…From Mrs. [5610]‘s reading I understand that ‘sufficient manipulations occasionally given’ doesn’t mean the ear treatments, but rather general manipulations and I would suggest that she go to Dr. Grace Berger, unless you have someone else you prefer. It would only be necessary for her to take these two or three times a month. The doctor could tell about that when making the first treatment. Such occasional treatments would be well, and most beneficial under the existent condition - be very helpful to her…”

R3. 1/12/32 Husband [5609]‘s letter: ”…You will favor me greatly by answering the two questions submitted in connection with my wife’s condition. She is now in the fifth month and has evidence of life for the past two weeks and has still exaggerated noises.

“If you will be kind enough to answer her questions in connection with my reading, we will be very grateful to you. She will be at the above stated address with me at the time of my reading. I sincerely hope you will be able to give me this reading without delay…”
