This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of July, 1934, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [652], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mildred Davis and L. B. Cayce.]

Time of Reading 3:55 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Ill. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [567].

  2. As we find, conditions are much improved for the general welfare of this body from that we have had here before. The corrections in the cerebrospinal system are being gradually released to such a way and manner as to make for a better coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system.

  3. We would, under these conditions in the present, continue with the CORRECTIONS only.

  4. If it is desired that there be change of scene, of environ, such a place as Reilly’s would be well - where there may be the activities in the open, where the physical exercise is required in proportion to the abilities of the responding conditions in the body. If such a change is made, it will be necessary that there be the corrections given in the areas as indicated at least twice each week, and to keep in the open and to reduce - as it would - as it would be required - the sympathetic reactions for the correcting properly of the conditions.

  5. Ready for questions.

  6. (Q) Would it be possible for the body to get the entire treatments at the Sun Air Farm, under supervision of The Reilly Service? (A) It would.

  7. (Q) Which would be best, to take the treatments there or continue in Chicago under Kapple? (A) When all conditions are considered, for two to three months the treatment at the Farm - at the present season - would be better than with the general surroundings, WITHOUT the necessary open air activities.

  8. (Q) Has the hypnotic treatment by Capt. O’Donovan been harmful? If so, how may it be counteracted? (A) So far, has NOT been harmful, as we find. But to CONTINUE, until the conditions in the nerve plexus are capable of being supplied with the necessary impulse for activity, would be to RUN DOWN the condition eventually rather than stimulating same. For, where the flexibility of any mechanical activity is forced, until it has either been oiled, massaged, or put in a position to be flexible for the use of same, it is EVENTUALLY a DETRIMENT.

  9. (Q) Should there be any change in the treatments suggested? (A) This depends upon the manner, or the place of application. With the present surroundings, no. With the change, as indicated, the corrections would be necessary at least twice each week - but this precludes the idea that there will be the exercise IN the open of the general nature that will require the activities of the body to be put into play - that will STRENGTHEN the stamina of the whole system.

  10. (Q) Any advice to the parents as to the best course to pursue under the circumstances? (A) This should be chosen from the circumstances themselves, as to the best course to pursue.

  11. (Q) Any further advice for the body’s better welfare at this time? (A) Do the right thing; which is to GIVE the body a sufficient opportunity to mete out that which is to be met in self.

  12. We are through with this reading.
