This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Warshawsky home, 3046 Webb Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, this 22nd day of November, 1935, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [601], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mrs. [601], Mrs. [480], Miss [1093] and Hugh Lynn Cayce.]

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Michigan. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [601], present in this room.

  2. Now, as we find, in the general physical forces of the body, there is much improvement from that as we have had here before. While there are those conditions that would make for the greater improvement and the prevention of disturbances later on, these should be cared for - as we find - in the present. As indicated in those portions of the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, more specific in the brachial centers and their coordinant centers or ganglia as related to the sensory system.

  3. We would, then, continue occasionally with the adjustments and the relaxing of the body through those areas. Not only will these adjustments and these relaxations make for the corrections for the upper portion of the body, but aid the greater in enabling the circulation through the assimilating system to become nearer normal. Thus their reactions will be to prevent or to eliminate the distortions that arise from an increased circulation; by the strains through the body, through the arms, through the upper portion - or through the neck and head. Their reactions, in other words, will be made to coordinate.

  4. So, these we would take once a week - or oftener when there is the feeling of cold or congestion, or any dizziness that may occur at times from the system’s balancing itself through the sensory forces.

  5. This will make for a clarification to the eye, ear, nose, and those activities of the head; so that the body will function the nearer normal.

  6. Ready for questions.

  7. (Q) What causes, and what should be done for, congestion in head? (A) As indicated, there are those tensions produced by congestions through the centers or ganglia along the upper dorsal and through the cervical area - that allow congestions. With the manipulations and adjustments these will be more and more normal.

Occasionally, for the head, the throat, it would be found well to use an antiseptic that acts not so much as a curative as a preventative - which is also excellent for colds, or for those effects upon the mucous-membranes of the head; which would be prepared in this way and manner:

To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, in a 6 to 8 ounce container (preferably glass container with glass stopper, or the like), add - in the order named:

Oil of Eucalyptus…20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…10 minims, Canadian Balsam…5 minims, Tolu in solution, or Essence of…40 minims.

Whenever there is an aching through the head (that is, from the nasal passages), shake this solution well and inhale or breathe deep the fumes of same through the nostril and even into the throat. These act as a clearing of the tissue, making for a cleansing in a manner that will be most helpful. This may be done once, twice, three, four, five or six times a day. Only breathe the fumes of same; do not take internally. Keep the container tightly corked when not in use.

  1. (Q) Please explain the numbness in the top of head, and what can be done to relieve it. (A) From those natural tendencies that arise from the segments in the areas from the 2nd and 3rd cervical, all along the spine, and particularly to the 4th and 5th dorsal. The JAMMING of these, by the force of the pressure, tends to make to the sensory forces - or the ganglia from which the sensory organs receive their impulse - the nature of a numbness. So, through the manipulation, the activities of the body, there are those tendencies for a feeling of a cold spot, or as a tingling spot to the portions of the cerebro- spinal system - or the cerebellum itself, that causes the feeling - just above the sensory forces - of being somewhat numb. This is the effect.

The activities, then, as indicated, will be most helpful - as given - for relieving these distresses.

  1. (Q) What can be done to relieve belching? (A) Those same stimulations as indicated will overcome those tendencies for regurgitation through the pylorus or the lower portion of the stomach itself; by the stimulating of the upper dorsals that make for the flow of impulse or activity through the gastric portions of the upper part of the body.

  2. (Q) What causes the pain in my back, particularly when taking a deep breath or moving? (A) Those same conditions as indicated, along the segments; and are particularly those in conjunction with the secondary cardiac reactions through the portions of the lungs, so that the expansion of the frame portion of the body, by these very activities, produces the heaviness that finds its expression in the 3rd and 2nd dorsal centers.

  3. (Q) What can be done to relieve tingling sensation in hand and fingers? (A) The same as indicated for the corrections specifically about the brachial center that controls the circulation to the extremity or the hand itself.

These effects will GRADUALLY be eliminated. Not by just removing the pressure, for the strain has produced a slowing of the circulation. Hence that admonition that the precautions should be taken in the present, that further disturbances may not arise from the injured portions - during those periods of suppression in their activity, or strain - as indicated.

  1. (Q) Any further advice for the body? (A) Much might be said as regarding the mental attitudes and mental outlooks through those periods in the present.

Keep that ever hopeful attitude; keeping the faith of the fathers that has made for that awakening within the experience of all as to the Glory of the Lord in His dealings with the sons of men; that makes in their purpose in their experience and their association with their fellow man, a hopeful, helpful outlook upon those relationships one with another. [See 601-10, Par. R8.]
