GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of Dr. [358], present in this room, especially in reference to the information given yesterday, Sept. 10, 1931, as to the perfecting of Atomidine. You will give in full detail the electrical process to be used in nullifying the poisonous effects of the solution. You will answer the questions which will be asked regarding this.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [358], present in this room, and information as has been given regarding perfecting of preparation.
-
As has been given, if the atoms of the basic principle in the preparation are broken up, in or with electrical vibration, there will be the more UNIFORM activity of preparation under all conditions. If the vibrations are given to the preparation when this has been completed in its present state, these would be changed, to be sure. In the FIRST - that is, in the treating of iodine in its original state, before addition of those properties that nullify the poisons in same for the human body - a high form of current would be passed through same. When applying for the preparation as completed in that called Atomidine, it would be as in THIS manner:
-
Make a solution of this: Add in the ORDER as given, and put in a crock or GLASS container at least a third larger than the solution - that is, five gallon container, see? To three gallons of aqua pura, rain water, or distilled water, add:
Copper Sulphate…2 pounds, Sulphuric Acid C.P…1 1/2 ounces, Common Zinc…3 1/2 drams.
This solution charges itself, but to charge or to prepare those of the preparation Atomidine] in same, suspend - now - a POUND of preparation, in glass corked container, in this solution - using one nickel pole and one copper pole. Charge with a hundred ten volts, ten amperes, sixty cycles, for five minutes - just sufficient to pass the current through the solution, not breaking any atom or separating same, only ELECTRIFYING same.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Give further details concerning the apparatus? (A) There’s no further details! If these are prepared, and comes from the current, this will ELECTRIFY - and nullify poisons, and RECTIFY properties for the assimilation in the system.
-
(Q) Is the drawing which I have in my hand a satisfactory outline for the construction of this apparatus? If not, what changes should be made? (A) This would make the proper connections, and make the proper addition, provided there is not made - in the resistance as set up - the direct current, but the alternating - and do not allow same to heat too much, as to separate properties.
The same manner may be applied to the properties before this addition of the nullifying influence and make for a different COMBINATION - see?
In the suspension of the solution in its glass container, let same be suspended with a suspension that does not carry any current direct. Let it all pass in its regular form. A lead suspension - see?
-
(Q) Is there any further advice regarding any of this? (A) This will be found, when prepared in this manner, that there will be the more UNIFORM results in each and every application. This will not only be a curative property, but a PREVENTATIVE! May be used internally and externally as well, and especially for any form of disorder in glands OR tissue of body.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 9/28/31 See 257-74, Par. 39-A—43-A in re Atomidine.
R2. 10/14/31 “Mr. [1734] left it to me to carry out the experiment of subjecting Atomidine to electrical charge as outlined during my two interviews with you on the 10th and 11th untimo. I completed the experiment yesterday in conformity with your suggestions and have the electrically treated Atomidine ready. If you think it is okay, I will carry out the chemical and clinical laboratory tests to ascertain the improvements or effects.
“If you are likely to come to this City in the near future we would like to have a further sitting with you. Otherwise, if you think it advisable I would come over there, if you will kindly make an appointment and let me know a day or two ahead.
“With kindest personal regards, I am” Yours sincerely, [358]
R3. 10/30/31 See 1734-5 in re Atomidine, etc.
R4. 12/7/31 He, Dr. [358], obtained a Life Rdg. - See 358-3.
R5. 2/22/32 “The negotiations to raise further capital have failed and Mr. [1734] is unwilling to invest more capital and so for the past six weeks I have had to accept half the royalty and should this continue for another eight weeks I shall be reluctantly obliged to cancel my license in which case the property and proprietary rights will revert back to me, and Mr. [1734] will suffer the loss of his capital. He still staunchly believes in the product but wants someone else to invest the capital without relinquishing the control and of course under such conditions capital is hard to obtain as no one is eager to invest in an enterprise which has been more or less badly managed.
“Should the property revert back to me, I will at once proceed to form a new company composed of men with sound business experience and so would appreciate your co-operation and advice in the matter.”
R6. 2/24/32 EC referred him to Mr. [426], saying he hoped that Mr. [426] and Mr. [1734] could work together in refinancing the company.
R7. 6/21/33 See his Physical 358-4 in re personal use of Atomidine for after effects of paralytic stroke, also as to reorganization of the company distributing Atomidine.
R8. 11/2/33 See 358-5, special rdg. on Atomidine, as to distribution, etc.
R9. 11/6/33 See 358-6 Ditto, with subsequent Reports on Atomidine. Also see 1734-5 subsequent Reports.
R10. 10/17/75 S. G. McKerall’s Speed Memo to Hugh Lynn Cayce:
Dear Hugh Lynn,
I am preparing a paper and need to know whether or not Atomidine was the medicine that the apothecary said could not be compounded and in a check reading, instructions were given how to make it.
Thanks for a prompt reply.
R11. 10/21/75 GDT’s note, in absence of HLC: No, the medicine which you refer to was in a reading given in 1911, I believe it was, of which we have no copy.
We did not know of the Atomidine until about 1930. It was a formula discovered by Dr. Sunker A. Bisey (East Indian). Dr. Bisey had used it in India and this country and had reports on it. He had it made up by Schieffelin & Co., N.Y.C. He came to Edgar Cayce for suggestions for improving it. Edgar Cayce suggested some kind of electrical process to detoxify it. However, we do not know whether or not Dr. Bisey followed the advice. Neither do we know what the formula was at the time, nor at any time since.
(I was EC’s sec’ty from Sept. 1923 to 1/3/45 when he died.)
