1. GC: You will have before you the article compiled by [195] entitled “An Evening with the Supernatural,” a copy of which is held in my hand. You will go over this carefully, telling us if this is compiled in the way and manner as was meant be information given in rdg. by you as respecting same on 8/28/26 [254-32], making whatever corrections that are necessary, that this may be a readable and an acceptable article for publication. You will answer any questions I may ask you regarding same. [See detailed article recorded under 195-41, Par. B12.]

2. EC: Yes, we have that as written here, and this is following out the lines of the suggestions as were made concerning the publication of such data.

3. In correcting this, so as to make readable and acceptable matter for publication, we find there are several different conditions to be considered. The manner and the publication first, and then as for corrections.

4. The first correction we would give would be in the introduction. There is found that statements are made concerning one who gives psychic diagnoses. This in itself is a statement without verification, in a very small way and manner.

5. Better had such introduction begin, then, with the study of phenomena and the results of psychic readings, rather than one having been accredited with something that would be still harder, to many, to convince of same. Rather let the Life Reading - and the following or succeeding information - rest upon its OWN merits.

6. In the gathering of the data, not so much of INDIVIDUAL life’s history. In the life history find each appearance that fits with the story as being told of the development, and leave other appearances - even of the same individual - to fill in other developed stories, so that the article appears as a one-builded whole. In this way we will find a more readable article, by the explanation, or comments, coming with each story. In this way we will find a very acceptable article, and one that will cause considerable comment; one that many, many - innumerable - numbers will be seeking the publication that would publish same - either in Colliers, in the [Woman’s] Home Companion, the Delineator, or any of those as given. Follow these lines, and we will find - with a little change in introduction, lessening the amount, with more comments - this will be much more acceptable.

8. (Q) Which appearance should be used for the first article - at what period? (A) In the beginning of article there is seen that the first reading sets forth that there are certain portions of the globe as man’s indwelling. In the first, take those that set forth those various spheres. COMMENT upon how it would be impossible for the mind of an individual, unlearned, to give such concise history and make each fit one within the other. See?

The manner as has been set forth, the way as outlined in this, is CORRECT, and the article as presented here is GOOD. Yet, as given, this as outlined here would make it much more acceptable, more readable, and the follow-up or requests for OTHERS would be so much GREATER! and this is what the author here seeks. Do that.

The author is CAPABLE ([195]), and has the right idea. Follow same.

I have read it several times and it is still a trifle ambiguous as to one point; that is, the introductory - whether to explain more the force - and the impossibility of a human conscious mind to imagine the statements given out - or to take up psychic phenomena in general, and then start on story without telling of the source of the information. I am of the opinion to start introductory similar to one already finished, only elaborate more on the phenomena and then make a story with more continuity and more explanations. Will read over and study the suggested corrections a few times more and next week, after Easter, I hope to be able to get down [to Va. Beach?] and outline the article and put it into more presentable shape.”

R2. 5/19/27 He wrote: “Have had a few chances to work on the article and have gotten the first part into shape. In making the introduction I do so in some test cases of physical diagnoses. I can recall several on which I would like more information [2473-1; 287-1; 4631 or 5566], also 3-4 more interesting rdgs. on people whose health has been recovered. Am using merely the outline of a few cases - no names - want to bring out the fact that should the psychic rdgs. be true as to physical diagnoses, there is more than a fair chance for truth to be given from the same source along other lines. Will have to rewrite and rearrange the whole article, but would not have a big job ahead should I whip the first part into shape. Hope to get it worked out during the next ten days, when I’ll go over it once or twice and send it to you. Am using part of the old script, so there won’t be so very much rewriting to do.”

If I can get a chance before I come on down, I’ll draft a rough outline of story or article as I have in mind, and we can get our heads together and elaborate from this outline.”

B6. 9/8/26 Mr. [195] wrote: “I went over the Ass’n booklet with [900] and suggested a slight change in listing of memberships which he penciled in and will no doubt forward to you for your consideration… I called on Ann Watkins today [as mentioned in 254-32] - a very charming woman, agent for publishing books. She was unable to handle magazine articles, but this does not dampen my enthusiasm. Will you have GD in her spare moments copy Life Rdgs. of interest and send them to me? I’ll get out an article in my spare time which I will forward to you, for correction, and then we will have something to submit and know what is best wanted by publishers.”

B7. 1/5/27 He wrote: “Finished the article. Don’t like the ending. Have written this part time and time again, but I always seem to leave an opening for a boomerang in form of a lot of letters from theorists to return and swamp me with useless argument. Will send something along soon, as soon as I get a few more rdgs. written out.”

B8. 1/20/27 He wrote: “Enclosed is the EVENING WITH THE SUPERNATURAL. It is not to my way of thinking very good and after put in writing and complete will have to be changed. I have made the reference to that part of readings to be inserted, and if Miss Gladys will get this out in her spare time, you can take a crack at it and make your corrections and suggestions. Realizing that the public is not versed at all on your work, I cut out nearly all of my remarks and my philosophizing, and it may appear dry until we rewrite. Note the ending has been changed. I pencilled the new ending this evening. Can get a letter of introduction to Mr. O. O. McIntyre of N.Y. and will talk with him the next time I am there. This may be soon, as I may have to run on down to Boston during the coming week or so, and can go from there to N.Y.”

AN EVENING WITH THE SUPERNATURAL By [195]

To many of those who have a slight understanding of man’s relation to the universal forces, with the resultant urges coming to the individual on the earth plane, the following extracts from data secured by me of psychic investigation, both considering the source from which they came and the information given, will have added interest. To others I hope the reading matter will be interesting, if unbelievable.

There came to our city some five or six years ago a man endowed with the strange power such that he made psychic diagnoses of the physical condition of those failing in health and prescribed treatments for cures. The persons for the most part were in other cities across the continent or in some cases in other continents. Stenographic notes were taken at readings, and volumes of letters have been received attesting to the correctness of diagnoses. In two or three of these diagnoses made under my observation it was given that the cause of some nervous disorder was in part due to a former appearance of the entity on the earth plane. This information led to what is known as a psychic Life Reading of an individual.

In these psychic Life Readings, besides relating the urges coming to the individual and the life work to which the entity is better fitted, a short description of the entity’s former appearances is given.

This article is to deal with the former appearances, history of man’s first appearance, as well as first Egyptian dynasty, all of which were secured from the same psychic source.

On comparing the first series of Life Readings it was noticed that many entities appeared in what was known as the second rule in Egypt. A psychic reading was therefore made on Egyptian history. The question asked was: [5748-1:]

In several readings there has been given information concerning man’s relation to the higher forces. You will give an outline of this teaching and how same was given to the people.

The psychic answer was:

Cayce: Yes, we have the work here and that phase concerning the indwelling in the earth’s plane of those who first gave laws concerning indwelling of Higher Forces in man. In giving such in an understandable manner to man of today, [it is] necessary that the conditions of the earth’s surface and the position of man in the earth’s plane be understood, for the change has come often since this period, era, age of man’s earthly indwelling, for then at that period, only the lands now known as the Sahara and the Nile region appeared on the now African shores; that in Tibet, Mongolia, Caucasia and Norway in Asia and Europe; that in the southern cordilleras and Peru in the southwestern hemisphere and the plane of now Utah, Arizona, Mexico of the northwestern hemisphere, and the spheres were then in the latitudes much as are presented at the present time.

The man’s indwelling was then in the Sahara and upper Nile regions, the waters then entering the now Atlantic from the Nile region rather than flowing northward; the waters in the Tibet and Caucasian entering the North Sea; those in Mongolia entering the South Seas; those in the cordilleras entering the Pacific; those in the plateau entering the Northern Seas.

When the earth brought forth the seed in her season, and man came in the earth plane as the lord of that in that sphere, man appeared in five places then at once - the five senses, the five reasons, the five spheres, the five developments, the five nations.

In this now then as we receive, we find many peoples, or man became the union against the invasion from the now Tibetan and Caucasian forces. The separating of the peoples in their castes was only the beginning then of group understandings, and the first ruler of groups set self in that place in the upper Nile, near what is now known as the Valley of Tombs.

In the second rule there came peace and quietude to the peoples, through the manner of the ruler’s power over the then known world forces. At that period, man exchanged with the forces in each sphere that necessary for the propagation of the peoples of the sphere then occupied. In each of the spheres given was the rule set under some individual by this second ruler in now Egyptian country, and the period when the mind of that ruler brought to self, through the compliance with those Universal Laws ever existent, then that ruler set about to gather those wise men from the various groups to compile those as that ruler felt the necessary understanding to all peoples for the indwelling of the Divine Forces to become understood and to break away from the fear of the animal kingdom then overrunning the earth.

We are through for the present.

The next day the question was: [5748-2:]

You will continue with this reading regarding the infor- mation of the first laws concerning man’s relations to the higher forces, giving this in an outline manner and how this was given to the people.

The psychic answer was:

Mr. Cayce: Now, as we here, as given, how and what the classifications were of the physical in the earth’s plane at that period, the numbers then of human souls in the earth plane being a hundred and thirty and three million [133,000,000] souls. The beginning then of the understanding of laws as applied from man’s viewpoint being in this second rule in the country now Egypt. The rule covering the period of a hundred and ninety and nine [199] years, and the entity giving the chance to the peoples, for the study being in the twenty and eighth [28th] year, when he began to gather the peoples together for this and surrounding himself for those of that land and of the various lands wherein the human life dwelled at that period. The numbers of the people that came together for the purpose then numbering some forty and four [44].

The Courts as were made were in the tents and caves of the dwellers of the then chosen priest from the Arabian or Tibetan country, who came as one among those to assist with the astrologer and the soothsayers of the desert of now the eastern and western worlds, and with this the conclave was held for many, many moons. The period in the world’s existence from the present time being ten and one-half million [10,500,000] years, and the changes that have come in the earth’s plane many have risen in the lands. Many lands have disappeared, many have appeared and disappeared again and again during these periods, gradually changing as the condition became to the relative position of the earth with the other spheres through which man passes in this solar system.

The first laws, then, partook of that of the study of self, the division of mind, the division of the solar systems, the division of man in the various spheres of existence through the earth plane and through the earth’s solar system. The BOOK OF THE DEAD, then, being the first of those that were written as the inscribed conditions necessary for the development in earth or in spirit planes. These, as we see, covered many various phases. About these were set many different ones to give the interpretation of same to the peoples in the various spheres that the individuals dwelled in that came together. Hence the difference in the manner of approaching the same sacrificial conditions in the various spheres, yet all using the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, as the emblems of the conditions necessary for the knowledge of those elements as enter in; same as the fish representing the water from which all were drawn out, as we would see from the various changes.

The beginnings then of this in a systematic manner beginning with this second rule, in this manner, in this land.

We are through for the present.

More Egyptian history: [341-9]:

Question: You will have before you the Life Reading given on [341] on 2/28/25, on the earthly existence in Egypt as Araaraart, and the association with same. You will tell us what period in earth’s history this was and what the entity accomplished at that time.

Psychic answer:

Yes, we have this sojourn in the earth’s plane. The time as we find, as counted by man, is 11,016 years before the Prince of Peace came into this land.

As to that accomplished, we find this is one of the highest civilizations of this country in its present position, for we find this same country had been submerged for nearly a quarter of a million years since the civilization had been in this portion of the country, and the peoples as had overrun the country in the various changes by invasions from the East and North. And this ruler, Araaraart, was then the second of the northern kings, and followed in the rule of the father, Arart [165], and began the rule, or took the position as the leader in his 16th year and ruled over these peoples for 98 years.

This country, as we find, was brought to a higher state of understanding with the surrounding nations, and there was much of the religious ceremonies practised in this time, much of this being brought in from the northern country and of the religions as had existed in that same country through the religion of that one taken as the companion (for there were many taken). And with the un-earthing of the tribal rites and ceremonies, the coalition of those truths, we find these were correlated with those peoples as were gathered about this ruler. And much of the architectural forces were set in motion.

As we see, the first foundations of the emblematical condition as is set in the sphinx were begun in this rule. For this, as we see, has remained the mystery of the ages.

As to the accomplishments then, we have these in Araaraart: Much of the sealing of the peoples’ abilities in being drawn together for benefits of the masses rather than classes. For we find, though this ruler was worshiped by many, he remained much in that same spirit as found in the better classes of the ones serving higher forces than self, which is service to the fellow man.

The monuments that were unearthed, and added to from time to time, we find are some still existent, though many have been buried beneath shifting sands. Others are underneath sands that become the bed of the seas that overflowed this country.

(Q) Did this ruler have any other names or titles? (A) There were many titles given in the various dialects of the peoples. This is one that will be found recorded with the other rulers - Araaraart, known as one of the household of rulers in the Egyptian forces. One of good stature. One of goodly countenance. For we find this entity was of the larger peoples who came in from the North during the reign of one preceding this entity [1734].

The accomplishment was in the sealing of the religious rites and in the giving of the laws to be used by the peoples in this great land.

(Q) Was this entity, as history gives it, one of the pharaohs, or Rameses? (A) He was one of the pharaohs, of which there were more than three thousand; this period coming, as given, in the 11,013 to 16 years before the Prince of Peace came into this country - coming in during the second year, see? It can be noted from above extracts from the readings that man appeared about 10,500,000 years ago in five different places: Nile region, Caucasian plains, Mongolia, South America and North America.

During the succeeding centuries the continents must have undergone many changes, violent eruptions, continents rising and others sinking below sea. Civilizations may have been wiped out entirely, or in part, time and time again, only at some distant time to be replaced by another civilization.

The following is the first appearance from the Life Reading of a female entity: [2665-2:]

Before this we find the entity was in the land of what is now Utah and Nevada, when the first peoples were separated into groups as families. The entity was then in the name of Ulda, and gave much to the peoples in the manner of the way to prepare the dwellings for the mates, as the entity was one among the few who were successful in holding same to that view; that is, her own mate, see? In this we find the entity developed much and gave much to the peoples who were to succeed in this land, and in the ruins as are found that have arisen, in the mounds and caves in the northwestern portion of New Mexico, may be seen some of the drawings the entity then made. Some ten million years ago.

Another early appearance [195-14]: [A male entity:]

Before that we find the entity during the first of the appearances of man in the earth’s plane, during that period when the five [nations] appeared. The entity then was in that now of the Nevada and Utah territory in America, then in the name Udulj. The entity was among those who first wrought in iron and in ore, being the first to separate these properties into a manner that might be used for the benefit of man. In that day we find the entity becoming great in the land. And through these channels we find in the present the ability to design, to figure out in mathematical manner, to stick to, those conditions that will give the correct answer in the end towards such conditions, towards such developments of mechanical conditions, those pertaining to work with irons, or that which may be wrought with any forms of ores. [Gen. 4:22?]

The following are appearances of female entities:

[538-9:] Before this we find the entity was in the Egyptian forces…in the household of the assistant priest to the one becoming the leader in the religious cult Ra-Ta]…her name being Isris [later known as Isis], and there are found even to this day many of the plastic forms in that country of the entity, though we find this was 10,996 earth years before the Prince of Peace came.

[2665-2:] Before this we find the entity [but following the above mentioned incarnation in Utah and Nevada] was in the earth during the days when the change was being made from the Atlantean countries to the northern portion of now Spanish forces. The entity then was in the name of Puyren, and the entity then was one of the greater entertainers of the time, though not reaching any great height on account of the change in the ruler of the forces pertaining to entertainment of the peoples, during the change.

[4765-1:] Before this entity was in the house of the ruler in Egypt, the one who assisted the peoples in coming to the knowledge of the laws; as an interpreter and teacher, becoming one who meant much to many peoples during that period.

The following are appearances of male entities:

[419-1:] Before this we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when the church and state were divided, as would be termed in present day parlance. The entity was among those who prepared those edifices during that period, in plan, and in the way for the builders to do the actual work. Then the name was Zeous. The entity then sided with the deposed priest Ra-Ta], and lost favor with the king [Araraarat] for the amount of enthusiasm shown for the priest, yet in the settling of those conditions, there were buildings and buildings built or prepared, or dedicated to this great builder.

[953-13:] Before this we find the entity was in the Egyptian forces when the first rule was given to the people as regarding relations of individuals to a higher being, and those orders and rules were being met, as were physical manifestations of a spiritual development of individuals attempting to show their relationship to the higher forces. The entity then occupied that position as the councillor to the ruler at that time, coming as he did from the plains country of now the Arabian to the rule of the Egyptian forces as were first set in Gizeh.

[294-19:] Before this we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, when the force of the law was being given to the people in that one chosen as the highest authority in the mental attributes, acting in the way of the priest [Ra-Ta] to the people, being the first chosen priest of the cult, as afterward called, among the nations of the world. In the present personality and present plane, we find again many in the earth’s plane and associated with the entity who were associated with the entity in that plane. Again we find the entity falling in the way of the flesh, or the entity represented that which has been given in the written word, “The sons of God looked upon the daughters of men and saw they were fair and good to look upon.” [Gen. 6:22] Through this fleshly carnal force there were brought destructive elements to the entity. In the present plane we find still that same urge to be overcome in the entity, for there is that innate call and desire in the flesh for those fleshpots again, as called, of Egypt, and the entity needs that to keep the forces of mental and spiritual development ever to press onward to the higher forces.

[341-8:] Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, as now known; then in the second pharaoh [Araraarat], or the ruler of that land, when the laws and the religions then were just being established. The entity then assisted in giving much to those peoples, the foundation of the truth of the relations of earthly individuals with the high God of the heavens. We find during the reign of this entity the first temples of sacrifice were builded, and the offerings of blood were first made, and the monuments of the things afterward becoming a stumblingblock; yet in the entity’s day it was the means of representing to the peoples the approach to the indwelling of that not made with hands. The entity, then, in the upper chamber of the northeast corner of the first pyramid builded, there placed by the grandson, the king who afterward ascended to the throne in Egypt - Azorut.

[195-14:] Before that we find the entity was in the rule when the king in the Egyptian forces gave the greater knowledge of the indwelling of the divine in the then human forces in earth plane. The entity then was in the name of Arsrha and was the stone and the precious stone designer and carver for that entity, the ruler, Araaraart [Ra-Ta period].

The entity also gave the geometrical forces to the people, being then the mathematician, and an assistant to the astrologer and soothsayer of the day. He arranged then for the first monuments that were being restored and builded in those places, being then the founder of now that mystery of mysteries, the Sphinx.

(Q) In what capacity did this entity act regarding the the building of the sphinx? (A) As the monuments were being rebuilt in the plains of that now called the pyramid of Gizeh, this entity builded, laid, the foundations; that is, superintended same, figured out the geometrical position of same in relation to those buildings as were put up of that connecting the sphinx. And the data concerning same may be found in the vaults in the base of the sphinx. We see this sphinx was builded as this:

The excavations were made for same in the plains above where the temple of Isis [?] had stood during the deluge, occurring some centuries before, when this people (and this entity among them) came in from the north country and took possession of the rule of this country, setting up the first dynasty. The entity was with that dynasty, also in the second dynasty of Araaraart, when those buildings were begun. The base of the sphinx was laid out in channels, and in the corner facing the Gizeh may be found the wording of how this was founded, giving the history of the first invading ruler and the ascension of Araaraart to that position.

The following is an interesting appearance from the Life Reading of a young boy:

[4228-1:] Before this the entity was in the courts of the present plane and sphere, and was the first signer of the declaration of these peoples here, this sphere here. This shows in the present characteristics of the present entity. That of the greater show of self, and self principles - JOHN HANCOCK, John Hancock.

Several men and women married on this plane were married on some former appearances and even their children and friends seem to have appeared at same time in former appearances.

In the following two readings the first appearances are those of a young lady and the second appearances are those of her husband. The reader will note that she appeared as Helen of Troy and he as Achilles, also that they both appeared in Egypt at same time:

[136-1:] Before this we find the entity was in the earth during the days when the Trojan forces were being attacked. The entity was in the capacity of one whom there was much made over, being in that of Helen of Troy. The entity then was in that development in the higher forces as found in physical body, development in mind, development in the law of love. In the present earth’s plane we find the abilities to bring about self those who seek to give the acknowledg- ment of the abilities of the entity to fascinate many. Not in the manner of the one seeking those of the nature, yet the innate ability to bring these conditions; yet never lording them over any…

Before this we find the entity was in the Egyptian forces, when the pharaohs were in that land, and under the second shepherd king, or second pharaoh, we find the entity, in that entity then known as Isiso [Ra-Ta period - See 341-10, Par. 5-A on 6/2/25] and in the temple as one of those making music before the altar as erected there for the first time. The entity then received the greater development in the earth’s plane, and reached the understanding of occult and mystic forces, which remains dormant in the entity, and may be awakened through that element of the faith, as is set in the entity, in the higher being’s realm manifested in the earth’s plane.

[900-38:] Before this we find the entity was Achilles in the Grecian or Trojan forces, that entity who has been proclaimed through many ages as the gifted one of the gods, as understood by the people of that day, and one who became invincible to the destructive forces in earth plane. Not through any condition of earthly existence. Rather the mental abilities to control those about the entity, for the entity gave the freedom to the common peoples, as known then, and brought much destructive forces to many, yet to the masses the greater love of the higher elements in a physical plane. In the personality as exhibited through the individuality at the present time, we find still that desire to be of help to each and everyone whom the entity contacts. No desire to be underhanded, little minded, or secretive in a dealing with the fellow man. Rather the one open and depending upon the mental ability of the entity to match wits with the individual whom the entity may consider friend or foe…

Before that we find the entity in the earth during the rule of the second of the pharaohs in Egypt, when the laws were being given to the people in the understanding of the relations of the human mind, or soul, as to the heavenly or higher forces, the seeking after the temple not made with hands. The entity then was in that name of Aarat. In this again we find many that the entity was then associated with are in the earth’s plane, and in the personality as exhibited in the present there is the ability to give, and the urge to give, a better understanding of man’s relation to the Maker.

Of the three following appearances the first is from Life Reading of the wife, the second from her husband, and third from their son. It is of interest to note that she [760] appeared as Marie Antoinette, he as Louis 16th [5618], and their son [1005] as the son of Marie Antoinette and Louis 16th:

[760-4:] Before this we find the entity was the queen who was beheaded, in that of Marie Theresa, or Marie Antoinette, as known in the historic forces, and in that we find both development and retarding. For the beginning of the force as exercised in that plane brought much good and much bad to many people, and all must be met in the earth’s plane. For save through that do we reach that force as is found in why the Master entered the earth plane.

[5618-8:] Before this we find the entity was then in power, in the rule in that known as France, and in that entity then known as Louis 16th. And the entity gained through the oppression to the entity and those about same, losing in the ability to apply own will with reference to the good of others. Hence we see the two combating influences in the present as an urge. One that loves those of the intrinsic conditions as respecting detail in any mechanical devices, and the entity would have made a wonderful clock repairer, or clocksmith. The entity finds also that urge as pertains to medicine, and mechano-therapy, as was first given then by this entity during the sojourn in the earth’s plane.

[1005-2:] Before this we find the entity was the one to become the king in France, when the father [5618] and mother [760] were at that time beheaded, and the entity then only gained in the knowledge of the earth’s forces through the things which the entity suffered, for the life at that time was only half a score years plus five. The entity then finds that urge from this in the present to partake of all the sports or pleasures as may be found, yet developed in that plane.

Whence come the desires, the urges to us as entities? Are they due to former appearances, are they due to astrological conditions, or are they due to cosmic or universal forces ever in operation, or due to a combination of all three? Are they subversive to our will, and are we the ‘captains’ of our soul? Do we on leaving earth’s plane develop further, and is there a universal cycle that returns our soul to earth’s plane again and again until we develop such that we may rise above this to some higher stage of development, until we finally enter in? [Mr. [195] pencilled a note on the margin: “I like the following two-paragraphs as an ending rather than the above par.”]

Hector [5717-5], Julius Caesar [See 2665-2, Par. 2] saying he was born into the world again on 7/21/06 in Belfontaine, Ohio], Captain Kidd [2213-1] and other lesser appearances of interest are withheld, as the evening with the supernatural is far spent. Of greater interest than Life Readings is the psychic interpretation of dreams, a series of which will appear soon.

B13. GD’s note: In typing above from Mr. [195]‘s original letter of comments I assumed he wanted just the prehistory incarnations or the specific ones mentioned in his comments. However, on referring to a carbon copy of the typed manuscript which I sent to him with the reading quotes inserted, and the copy we used as the basis for obtaining the rdg. 195-41, I realize that ALL of the person’s previous incarnations were typed in, with the exception of specific ones mentioned in his comments. No wonder 195-41 said it was too long! Perhaps copy just typed is more in line with what the rdg. meant.

B14. 1/25/27 EC sent HLC a copy of the ms, including ALL incarnations instead of just the ones typed in above, saying: “I know this is a very bad time to send you this…we haven’t had time to take a rdg. on it, nor have we gone over it to make any corrections in any way. I think the idea is good. Possibly there is most too much of it as it stands in its present form - possibly a great deal will have to be cut out, but I don’t believe he will have any trouble getting it over. When you do have the opportunity to take it up without causing any hindrance to your studies, we will be glad to have your comments on same. I’m sure [195] will be glad to have them also.”

B15. 2/12/27 EC wrote, apparently answering some comment HLC had made which we don’t have on file: “We haven’t had the opportunity yet to take the rdg. on Mr. [195]‘s article; possibly what is amiss is what you suggest, I don’t know. I think I’ll be able to answer you a great deal better after the rdg. I don’t mean by this I’m evading the question, for I think as you, there is too much information from the rdgs. and too little comment from the writer - or, in fact, there is sufficient data in the article for - 3-4 - such articles, if enough comment was put in between - but that’s from my conscious mind - not from the rdg.”

B16. 3/15/27 EC gave the rdg. 195-41 approving the article with deletions, etc.
