This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of October, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Miss [275].

1. EC: We have the entity here, and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present entity, [275].

2. In entering the present experience, we find the entity astrologically coming under the influences of Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune. In the aspects as these bring in the influence of the entity, these as are builded, these as are latent in the present experience:

3. One refined of tastes; the mental abilities are keen; love’s influence bringing the greater experiences in the entity’s experience in the earth’s plane.

4. Those influences innate are as the seeking for something in a constant manner in the developing of abilities of self, mentally and physically.

5. The influences in Venus and Jupiter bring in the experience, through mental application, often a dreaming - or BUILDING that called air castles, or that as of visions into the imaginative forces of the body’s experience.

6. Hence in the fields of endeavor in the present experience, that of the pen - or writing - as related to influences of dietetics on the body, and of the USAGES of those things as will make for the applications of conditions in the life as preventatives, rather than of cures - both as applied in the MENTAL and as DEVELOPMENTS in the physical.

7. In the appearances, and the influence these will have - or may have - dependent upon the application of will of the entity as respecting various experiences that will come THROUGH this present experience:

8. In the one before this we find in the land of the present nativity, and during those stirring periods when there were the raids and the invasions of those peoples who would dislodge the settlers in this new land, while the entity of the native - or of those born to the first settlers, and in the name Zangrill. In this experience the entity gained in many manners, especially as to the abilities to apply the hand to that of decorating, sewing, and of knitting or spinning, and such of those things that pertain to the crude manner of the preparing of apparel are especially interesting to the entity. In this experience the entity gained in that as pertains to the religious influence. Not from purely that of the imaginative, but as WELL that as is BUILDED by the personal application of the relationships of individuals to other individuals; and to the entity, in this direction, it matters not the claims of one - but the actions, to the entity, speak the influence as one may hold, or one may expect to influence the entity with. So, pretty speeches mean little to the entity - though the mannerisms OF others influence the entity much.

9. In the one before this we find in that period when there were the destructive forces made manifest materially in the land when peoples were persecuted for their religious beliefs. [Nero period?] The entity was among those of the household of a ruler who participated in this character of influencing the peoples of that period. Hence in the arena the entity watched MANY an individual perish, and especially was there that expression that brings in the present an influence as to rending of limbs. In this the entity lost. In the latter portion of the experience the entity gained in the manner in which the entity suffered. In the name Partheniasi. In the present the influences as seen are those of outdoor sports, those that partake of that which would remind one of such experiences produce an inexpressible feeling of fear, often causing sensations in the body of the entity - especially if blood be drawn. While the influences also make innate that of the DESIRE TO render aid to the suffering, rather in the field of preventative measures would the ENTITY gain the most, and present a better development from same in the present experience. 10. In the one before this we find in that early portion of that known as the Grecian rise of civilization, during those periods when there were the first considerations of the body beautiful, even in the isles where much of such was enacted; not as wholly of play, but rather as of a portion of the study of that which became as the period of statuary. The entity was among those who participated in the study of same, and in many of those periods was the entity’s body-beautiful made into figures - as were later transferred as reliefs in various developments of the architectural designs. In the name Xera. In this experience the entity gained in the early portion, losing only in aggrandizing of selfish interests. In the present, the innate love of figure, statuary - especially that as defines the body as relating to the various aspects of natural or nature’s expressions. In the first of those that bring such, may the entity gain in development of that, as a student of, an interpreter of, that meant by such artistes in their expressions.

11. In the one before this we find in that land now known as the Egyptian, and during that period [of Ra-Ta] when there was the height of the first understanding - in an expressive manner - of man’s relationships to his Maker and man’s relationships to his fellow man. In that first school established as a curative and as a preventative, did the entity act in the capacity of an aide to those who ministered in this period. In the name Ai-Si. The entity gained through this experience, and many were the combinations of delicacies as were given to those recuperating from fevers, from injuries external in battle, and those various conditions that dealt with the developments of the INNER man. The entity gained through this experience, and in the present that as may be applied in the same direction would be the field for development. Not until the entity has passed its twenty-eighth year should union, or those of the opposite sex relationships be oft considered - for those developments in body-mind, in body-physical, must in the present bring that to which the entity may attain, as in a life of USEFUL service first being set, that the entity may gain the more in the present.

13. (Q) In what vocation will entity be most happy and successful? (A) As has been outlined, in that of a writer as pertaining to dietetics, or of preventative influences in the experiences of individuals for their physical development; keeping in mind, in heart, in spirit, that the ideal must be set high, and that in keeping self and self’s application of abilities as gained, by the use of knowledge had, knowledge sought, knowledge attained, the entity gains an insight of ITS relationships to others and of the highest service it may give to others, and keep its relationships with the divine.

14. (Q) Where should she study? (A) BEGIN where she dwells.

15. (Q) Describe type of man with whom entity would be most happy in marriage, and where will she meet him? (How many children should she have?) (A) Time enough for that yet!

16. (Q) What musical instrument is body most talented for? (A) The harp.

17. (Q) Has entity any hidden talents? (A) As has been outlined.

18. (Q) Has entity any bad faults, and if so how should she correct them? (A) These have been pointed out, as to how mis-application of those attainments in self HAVE brought - as laughing at another’s sincerity [in Rome] has brought - physical defects. As does the holding of grudges, as does selfish interest, as does that as hinders build - so may those that are constructive develop. We are through.

R1. 10/19/30 Mother [255]‘s letter: “We were so happy about [275]‘s life reading. It is very wonderful. NOW I can understand its purpose. How much further one can progress in this incarnation if one has this spiritual guidance. Especially for youth it means a good deal to know IN TIME what to do with talents and opportunities. We are now looking forward to [488]‘s life reading, which will bring [301]‘s and mine a little nearer too. Now that we know what a life reading means, I will not feel satisfied until each member of the family has been privileged to have the experience.”

R2. 10/19/30 Miss [275]‘s letter: “I just feel I HAVE to let you know how excited I was over my Life Rdg., and how I appreciate that you have given it. I was very happy to hear that I also was in Egypt with you.

For a very long time I have been longing to take up the harp, for I am so very fond of the instrument. The reading just satisfied my wish, so I hope to be able to take it up sometime this winter.

I know I will be happy as a dietician, since I am very much interested in cooking, and foods in general.

I think the whole thing so wonderful that I am looking forward to the time when I will be able to discuss it with you. R3. 11/26/30 Sister-in-law Mrs. [301]‘s letter requested Life Rdg. 282-2 for her husband [[275]‘s brother], saying: “We have all decided that we must keep step with [275], so we all are looking forward to our Life Rdgs.”

R4. 2/3/31 Mother [255]‘s letter: “[275] has started harp lessons and is quite excited and happy about it… She is looking forward to finishing high school next June.”

R5. 2/16/31 Mother’s ltr.: “[275] is getting along very well. She is learning to play the harp so nicely and is very happy about it.”

R6. 2/20/31 Her younger sister obtained Life Rdg. 276-2, advising her to play the flute.

R7. 5/16/31 She obtained Ck. Life Rdg. 275-19 on her Roman incarnation.

R8. 10/19/31 Mother [255]‘s ltr.: “[275] is very happy tonight, for tomorrow her harp will come! We have been able to make arrangements with Wurlitzer, satisfactory to both sides.”

R9. 10/21/31 She submitted further questions for her Ck. Life Rdg. 275-22, about former incarnations, saying: “My harp arrived yesterday, so I am one of the happiest girls in the world.”

R10. 12/29/31 She wrote: “This year I accompanied the Christmas songs which we sang, with the harp, while Mother played the piano. Something that gives me a great deal of pleasure is my quartet practice every Sat. Three other girls besides myself meet at Wurlitzers, and play pieces for 4 harps. It is loads of fun and it gives me such wonderful experience in playing with others. I will send you a picture of myself with my harp just as soon as we have it taken. Lots of love, [275].”

R11. 7/21/32 Miss [288]‘s ltr. to Miss [275] in re A.R.E. prayer group for healing: “In regard to your magnetic treatments and what takes place at the time, I had an experience one day. [See 281-8, Par. 31-A] I am copying it down and enclosing it, so that you can read it. I feel sure that we were especially in attunement on that day. One reason I feel I had that experience was because of my thoughts concerning you so many times since we had that description of the Lord’s Supper [5749-1]. Always I would think of you playing the harp, as it was given that He also was a musician and played the harp. That probably accounts for the musical explanation of vibrations in healing, while my own personal work on the typewriter keys was mixed up in it. Just emblematical, or an illustration of exactly what takes place. While the Master Musician creates harmony in the lowest of creation to the highest, and to some a cricket on the hearth would bring about harmony, to us - that day - we were in attune with the music of the spheres. Beautiful, isn’t it? I should think that the letters which were at first out of tune represented the physical conditions, which - with the raising of the vibrations, or the learning to play the notes in harmony - were gradually made to become whole.” [See subsequent Ck. R12. 9/24/32 Miss [275]‘s ltr. to Miss [288]: “I have been wanting to answer your letter about the experience you had on the beach, for a long time. It certainly was a very beautiful one, making healing very clear.”

R13. 12/21/32 See Ck. Physical 275-29, Par. 16-A saying her aura is “Blue to purple”; Par. 20-A about difference bet. physical and soul birth; Par. 21-A—25-A in re difference bet. cataleptic state and positive death, best method of burial, etc.

R14. 2/16/33 Ck. Physical 275-30, Par. 15-A advised her about books to read for best development; Par. 16-A gave scale of auras with meaning of each for development of the soul.

R15. 3/12/33 She wrote: “In my music I am getting along fine, besides it bringing me a great deal of pleasure. Five other girls and I are working hard in trying to get the score Wagner wrote for six harps in ‘Rheingold’, ready for a concert in April. We have it almost finished now.”

R16. 4/12/33 Ck. Physical 275-31, Par. 17-A through 24-A advised in re meaning of aura, blue to purple; best colors to wear and to surround self; precious stone pearl and bloodstone to send out most healing vibrations for her body; best key in music; pieces and composer for harp to have most elevating and healing influence on her body; guiding spirit or guardian angel should be most often ‘self’s inner self.’; astrological influences causing general mental and physical unrest.

R17. 6/5/33 Ck. Physical 275-32, Par. 10-A advised in re her own psychic development, giving her a prayer to hold when meditating.

R18. 7/11/33 Mother [255] requested a Life Rdg. for [275]‘s father, Mr. [378], saying: “[275] receives messages every evening, and in one it came that a Life Rdg. would bring great enlightenment to [378]. The message also said: ‘Mr. Cayce’s own spirit does the seeing, and then speaks what it sees or hears. His power is very wonderful and must be respected. He will become conscious when a certain time limit is passed. But everything that comes through him, rather, after the time that he realized that certain material things would not be asked about, it has been the truth. The Life Rdgs. all are true, even [328]‘s, which the medium on the other side will also say.’

“Then [275] asked about your seal, you know it has always fascinated me so. [See 294-8.]

“It [the message] continued to say that we all had emblems we should use, and then started giving [275] hers. She sketched it today and is to have it corrected and explained tonight. A harp in the center of a circle with OHM above and NCI below. Every evening she has an interesting message. Now the spirit is working out a proof to enlighten [452]. As the different things come true, I will write them… Last night she received a short description of heaven, to be continued. Up here [at the Lake] it is just the place for her to develop

• quiet, as the babies [nieces [299] & [314]] are in N.Y. The sunshine and the woods, roses and birds, all have their uplifting influence. We are living in a world of our own - a beautiful one - and we are all deeply thankful for it. It is a gathering of strength and knowledge, a preparation for the spiritual gifts we have all been asked to pray for.”

R19. 7/11/33 Miss [275]‘s interpretation, in meditation of her own Life Seal which she received in meditation:

The lyre represents the center of your work in this life. The 5 strings represent the vibration, or the number to which [275] vibrates. The bow and arrow represent the age of healing through music, in that the music shoots out the sickness of the body, and shoots the arrow, or health, into the body. The OHM represents the tremendous height of vibration your music must and will be, to accomplish the deed. The MCE represents the three words M---- C---- E---- [I have not yet receive the correct Latin words.], meaning, played by Christ Immanuel, or showing that Christ is the one that accomplished the act of healing, through playing through you. The little tails represent the people who will flock to you to be healed; thus it is your seal of life. “I asked whether the 5 and 3 mean anything in the 5 rows and 3 in number.” Yes it does in that January vibrates to 5; and 1913 also to 5. The 3 means the vibration to which the whole January 17, 1913 vibrates to. So you see the 5, 3, 7, all are very important numbers to you, and will always be your sort of good-luck numbers. Harp vibrates to 7, and music to 3; so you all belong together.

R22. 8/7/33 Miss [275]‘s letter:

Dear Mr. Cayce:-

Thank you so much for your letter that I received the other day. I have been passing through many experiences, and as a result I realize the wonderful guidance you have given me through the readings, which up to now I had really not fully understood. As you know through a reading, I was told that the contact with Mr. Greber would be beneficial, giving me also a prayer to say every night. In this prayer if you notice, it does not mention anything about coming in contact with the spirit world, which makes it all the more perfect, because it draws out your divine soul, which is the true spirit we should come in contact with. Naturally I needed the stepping stone of outside spirits guiding my hand, to be able to distinguish the difference between when words come to you from your mental mind, and from your superconscious mind. As I developed and had so called higher spirits writing through me, very often they changed the prayer which had been given me, always adding, to say the Cayce prayer first. Also as the spirits became higher the seals always continued in an unbroken chain. I will send you copies of the seals and their explanation just as soon as I have made the copies. As you will see when you get the seals that, which should coincide with the Life-Readings, always does. I have had to pass some so called tests, where I received information that was not true. Now no more spirits guide my hand; and I realize that there should be nothing between our “Creator and the Creative Forces” and our divine soul, except Christ. I read over all the check readings I have had, and saw in it a great deal which up to now I had not understood. Over and over they tell you to come in closer contact with your inner self. Coming in contact with the spirit world was a great help, but it should not be your goal. I hope I will get some more spiritual help from my next reading. The last Bulletin I enjoyed very much, because just the night before I had received just about the same thing on the conscious, or sub-cons. and the super-cons. mind. It did me a great deal of good to read it once more having come from you. At the time that we were wondering whether Mr. Greber was right in calling you a Deep-Trance Medium, I received the message that your own soul or spirit does the seeing or hearing. Which you have also confirmed in the Bulletin. The deep-trance mediumship has never appealed to me because it does not develop your own soul. I hope my next reading will help me to continue to develop, so that I can become a better channel.

R24. 8/18/33 EC’s letter in reply to above:

“I was very glad indeed to have yours of the 7th, and was quite interested in the questions you submitted. You will find a great deal in the reading, I think, that will be very much worth while. Won’t it be fine some day when we have had these things verified, checked and re-checked from many sources, to write a history of the Egyptian period? So many are interested in the Work that were in that period, and some are not even aware of the associations that we have gotten from time to time. Yet we have found, where the rdgs. have said they were in that period, they do become more interested in the Work, whether they know about their past associations or not! Of course, this in itself gives us a great deal of confidence in such information, and I certainly will be glad to see some of the verifications or corrections that you may have from time to time…

“I’m sure the contact with Mr. Greber has been most beneficial. The developments coming to you are very wonderful, and I’m sure you are going to find them proving to be helpful to many people.

“Yes, I will be anxiously waiting for the copies of the seals with their explanations, as soon as you have the opportunity to get these in order.

“All of us, I think, have to pass through test periods. As we often say, human nature is and has been the same through- out the ages. So has God’s dealing with man been the same, through His messengers that have come to man and preserved the records such as we have. Man, no doubt, as Mr. Greber has pointed out, has often changed these to fit some human idea or purpose; yet when we cry unto God, or when we seek to know His ways with man, He is faithful in His promises to not turn a deaf ear to our desires when we seek to know Him better. And since we have the Advocate with the Father in the Christ, it should be to most of us much more of a personal thing.

“The ability you have of attunement to the influences created in various appearances, I am sure makes you able - in a conscious or semi-conscious manner - to gain access to the knowledge that your mental body has maintained throughout the ages. From my own selfish acts, possibly, it becomes necessary for me to contact the same force or power (that has been set in motion by my ego’s activities) only when in an unconscious or subconscious state. It may be that I may grow more and more conscious, much in the way and manner that one or two expressed it at the New York dinner [5/18/33 Edgar Cayce Foundation dinner mtg.] (as perhaps Mrs. [255] will remember); saying something very much worth while had been received when I was not in a trance state.”

R25. 9/11/33 Mother [255] submitted questions for 378-14 and 275-34, saying: “We certainly were very much absorbed by the Ck. Life Rdgs. 378-13 and 275-33. [275] is compiling a story combining what Gladys gave me [294-147 through 294-153] and our own readings.

“[275] is just about completing the book of seals and will send them very soon. I know they will interest you very much. She has received even [the baby [314]‘s]. She has colored a few, but the rest will occupy her a good part of the winter… [275] has still been writing every evening, but now that the seals are finished, she was told to do it every other night.”

R27. 9/27/33 EC’s letter to Mrs. [255]: “I have received the book of seals [done by [275]], and am just amazed. I will try and write [275] as soon as I have had the opportunity to assimilate something of the beauty and wonder presented in these. The execution is so WONDERFUL. And the symbols just put me in such awe, it’s hard to find words to express what I feel.”

R29. 10/7/33 Miss [275]‘s ltr. to EC: “My Ck. Life Rdg. [275-33] pleased me very much, answering everything I wanted to know, and more. With this and the information from Father’s [378-13 and 378-14], and all the other Life Readings, plus the collected Egyptian Life Rdgs. from you [297-147 through 294-153], I am making one big story of our Egyptian life. It is very interesting to see how it all fits together, and I am enjoying putting it together very much.”

R30. 10/9/33 HLC’s ltr. to her father, Mr. [378]: “[275]‘s book of seals was most interesting. The material on soul development is beautiful and in keeping with very high ideals. I shall ask her to secure my seal when we come to N.Y.”

R31. 10/9/33 EC’s letter: “I have been trying to find the right words to express my appreciation, and at the same time to give some idea of how wonderful I think the book [of seals] is that you sent me. Yet I find myself almost awe-inspired by the visions that keep crowding in, as I look over these pages [of seals and their interpretations] from time to time, until I have no words even to begin to convey what I think and feel about them. Possibly when I can sit down and talk with you and the others whom I’m sure your work has inspired also, I may give expression to something of what it has been worth to me. The seals are not only remarkable; they are really inspiring, and to my mind they carry a picture of each soul’s development; needs, faults, desires; in fact, the whole life, to which these seals appear to be the key. To be sure, it will require thought and study on the part of each one to open the door to that expressed in the seals, for his own development. For, after all, it is ALL self-development. And in the correct expression of self, that which is given out raises those whom the entity or soul contacts.

“The messages recorded are very wonderful. I’m sure these should be kept; and as future ones are given, these may be used as the basis for higher development, and you will be able to give much to those who seek in His name from time to time. [See messages under 5752-4 Reports.]

“So, when I am able to be with you…(if we are privileged to come at this time), I hope that we may be able to talk these things over together. I’m sure each individual will be the best interpreter of his own seal, as life begins to unfold for him.

“Thank you a thousand times for the consideration you have given me in preparing the book and sending it to me. I will bring it with me, so that we can discuss it.

“With love and regards to each and every one from all here, I am”

R32. 11/18/33 Miss [275] and her sister [276] appeared at Wurlitzer Hall in N. Y., performing on the harp and flute. [See subsequent Ck. Life Readings answering questions on all phases of her life and development, as well as past incarnations.]

R33. 11/21/33 Miss [275] was present for a Ck. Life Rdg. on her Egyptian incarnation, 275-35, which indicated she had the ability to receive the life seals, in meditation, for any with whom she had been closely associated in that incarnation.

R34. 12/6/33 Miss [288] wrote Miss [275]: “Mrs. [538] and Miss [295] appreciated their seals so much. Mrs. [538] was so surprised, and pleased - it seemed to touch a sensitive chord in her, the same as in all the rest of us. The seals, as the readings, are so INDIVIDUAL.”

R35. 2/16/34 She wrote: “On Tuesday [276] and I are playing at the school, and then at the Rotary Club. It is wonderful experience for us.” [See subsequent notations under 275-35 and 275-36 Reports.]

R37. 4/3/34 She obtained Ck. Life on her former associations in past lives with her harp teacher, Miss [4929].

R38. 4/16/34 “A Mr. [284] and a Mrs. [272] have asked for seals. I sent them a booklet [as in 275-36 Reports] but as yet have not heard from them whether they care to have one. Mr. [478] has not let me know either.”

R39. 4/19/34 She requested 378-18, the first of a series of readings for her father, who had disappeared leaving a suicide note.

R40. 5/22/34 Mother [255]‘s letter: “[275] and [276] played so nicely at their Spring concert last Sat. They have both made good progress this winter.”

R42. 6/27/34 See mother [255]‘s ltr. under 276-2 report saying that [275] also will work on scholarship contributions to help with her schooling next winter, and:

“[275] and [276] earned their first money playing in a church. Both have made wonderful progress in the last two months.”

R43. 9/17/34 GD’s ltr. to Miss [275]: “The Ass’n seal was given to us sometime ago [in 254-78 on 7/17/34] and I’ve wanted to write you about it before this. Could you fix it for us when you have time, so that it could be used on our stationery? We haven’t money to pay, but I know you realize how very much the seals mean to us - and your work. For us to hesitate about asking on account of lack of money would be the same as for you to hesitate about getting a reading on account of money; because such a consideration should never enter - when we are so closely knit in our purposes, and our work is really One. So please, [275], you won’t ever - any of you - hesitate to ask for readings whenever you feel that they would help in any way, will you? It would be the same as some of us in this household hesitating to get a reading when we were sick or something, when the Work really needed our best efforts. Don’t you see, we must work as One. I know you have your hearts set in the same directions as ourselves, so why should we hesitate over material things? I know Mr. Cayce has felt the lack of your contact, actually - he has mentioned it several times. So I hope you will write him, and even ask for a reading, should you feel the need of one in any way.

“I know it will be a beautiful seal; you will probably be guided to do it so beautifully, since it is to stand for the Temple Beautiful what we actually accomplished in the Egyptian period.”

They belong to an orchestra and besides give flute and zither lessons. [275] was asked to teach this instrument and realized that she should do it, when a zither was brought right into the house through a friend, who knew someone who had one to give away. R69. 3/19/57 Mother [255]‘s ltr.: “[275] and [276] have a busy day with two sessions of kindergarten. They go once a week to Temple Univ. and hope by another year to have the required points as licensed teachers. They take a 6 weeks summer course too. They both have pupils for harp and flute, play in an orchestra and are secretary and treasurer of the … County Bee Club. So their days are very full.”

R70. 12/19/58 Mother [255] wrote: “[275] and [276] have 52 children in two sessions. Mr. [378] makes a lot of toys for the kindergarten. And last Easter [275] and [276] received the gift of a Volkswagen and so we can take lovely trips in the surrounding country which is lovely.”

R71. 12/21/59 Mother [255]‘s ltr.: “We here are all fine. [275] and [276] have 60 children in kindergarten, in 2 sessions. They give harp and flute lessons, belong to an orchestra and bee Assoc. So they are busy people. So we could invest in a new stainless steel sink and cabinets in our kitchen, for which I am particularly thankful.”

R72. 8/6/67 Miss [275] wrote requesting that her mother, Mrs. [255], be put on the A.R.E. prayer group, saying:

“It is wonderful the way groups interested in your work and spiritual development are starting all over. Mother enjoyed the one in … [Pa.] so much. She still is a part of it. They tape their meetings, talk to her and ask her questions… [276] and I cannot attend because we have orchestra rehearsals that night…

“When we read about Mr. Cayce again (Sleeping Prophet) we realize more and more what a privilege it was to have been able to come so close to you all!” [See subsequent notations under 276-2 Reports.]

In a Life Reading for each of her two young daughters, a mother asked if they had a hidden talent for a particular musical instrument. One was told the harp, the other the flute; and they had the ability - from the Egypt Ra-Ta incarnation - to aid others, through their music, to attune to the highest within them.

We prevailed upon them to make the tape for meditation, to be used first at our August 3-8, 1975 Conference on THE ARTS AND HEALING. They are quite well known as performing artists, but wish to remain anonymous.

(A) All of these, when there is the seeking for that which may give to others an awakening, there will be seen those forces, those influences to guide thee. For, think not that the realm of the Father is set at a hit or miss. For, He has given the realms in order. And as the psalmist gave, the heavens in their beauty, in their harmony of their movements, and the earth in its glory as it springs anew into life in seasons that were set by Him from the beginning. And you see all nature respond; only man has changed or has even tempted the Father in attempting to alter those things in their activity.

Hence in seeking in self for those varied influences that may bring joy or peace or harmony, as does music into the ears of those that may hear, there will be given - as has been said, “I will guide thee in all things that ye have need of.” Music is seldom played for self, other than to attune self to the realms of the Infinite. And thus does it raise the soul and the heart to that rhythm, that harmony, that makes for joy - even in heaven. For, as it

• such harmony, such music as may this entity raise its own activity, bring even joy at the Throne. And in those heavenly places where the angels stoop down to listen, and the harkening of those that would bring into the souls and hearts of men a strengthening - by those that may play even as this entity.

14. (Q) Did the entity play any musical instrument? (A) Were each soul today to get rather the vision that the self in life, or Life itself, is a manifestation of the Spirit of God in the earth, and that its soul, the entity’s soul, the companion of that Spirit in the material world, each soul would get rather the vision of its own abilities in the earth, if it will but make the use of, the application of, the manifestations of that spirit that will make for the growth of its own soul, the heritage of each and every soul that enters into the earth’s plane.

As may be rightly gathered from that given concerning this entity, this soul, in its unconscious use of life it gave to man such that has been the aid, the help, the companion throughout the years, the ages since.

In the conscious use of these same influences, with being directed by those that had found - as it were - the relationship between the Creative influence and the creative and its brother, the creature and its Maker, the entity so applied self as to bring harmony into the KINGDOM over which the entity ruled. Not as ruled by might, rather by love. Hence the instruments used were of the reed or flute, that is known in the present, and made the hearts of many merry; not as of those that would gratify the satisfying of carnal forces, but rather that as awakened within each those abilities for the expressing of - in its physical body - the music of the spirit in its activity in and through the body. So in the present, as the experiences of self that go to make up its abilities to quell within the breast of many a tortured soul in many a tortured body that wars within itself with the spirit that is willing and the flesh is weak with its own desires, that as may be given by the entity in word or by the music will bring something to each of the vision that came to those that were under the entity’s supervision or kingdom in that sojourn.
